I thought Noble Pils was fantastic, as was Lattitude 48 Deconstructed Zeus. I didnt care for the Irish Red all that much. Kind of have a soft spot for Summer Ale as well.

I've always had a soft spot for Cherry Wheat in my heart. While I usually opt for something less main stream, I can respect SA and pick up a seasonal 12 pack or the Longshots when they're out. The IPAs in their Mixology pack are good, but there are better examples of each style in the market. I thought Grumpy Monks was original, but then I tried CBC's The Audacity of Hops and it blew GM out of the water.

As for quality, the bar is set pretty high for Sam Adams. I'll buy that they make a decent number of mediocre beers but mediocre seems to be their floor* and they make a lot of above average and even good beers and a few exceptional ones.

No thanks. I'll take a water instead. I had a bit of time where I wanted desperately to like them so I kept trying but I have given up. *sigh*

I use to be a huge fan of sam adams in th 90's along with Pete's wicked ale. But i have been wondering has sam adams changed some of there recipes? the boston lager does not taste the same to as i remember something is missing. but i do still buy there october fest, Latitude 48 and really like there Tasman red that i just bought some more today plan on buying IPA Hop-ology and i really miss pete's wicked ale that was a dam good beer.

Other than a handfull of beers by SA,( Cherry wheat, bonfire rauchbier, belgian session, brick red, white ale and coastal wheat ) most of there beers are pretty good. I got no problem picking up a 6er or a mix pack ( winter pack and ipa-hop-ology were great this year ) from them when there is a lack of selection to choose from.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I kept trying, but alas, no. My reaction was that everything I tried seemed to taste just slightly watered down.

Dammit I'd like them even more if during the winter months they made Old Fezziweg available in 6/12 packs

Good beer. Sam Noble. cream stout, Lat 48, Boston ale and lager, Octoberfest, etc. Great beer, easily accessible, at a great price. what's not to love?

Their Imperial Stout is pretty darn good and Boston lager is a blessing in most bars...Sometimes it gets a little overwhelming with all their varieties.

I like the Noble Pils, Alpine Springs, Red, Chocolate Bock, and a few others. I kind of burned out on Boston Lager a few years ago, but it is still a pretty good beer.

I don't find myself buying their beers too often, but I definitely do no think SA is a bad brewery by any means. Pretty good overall.

The Whitewater IPA was one of the few from them I found to be an absolute drain pour.

Sam Adams is my go to when I am somewhere that doesn't serve other craft options or I am bringing a mixed 12 pack to a gathering to share.

I've done this plenty of times at BBQs, gatherings, etc. Perfect option, and they're always all gone.
