I just wanted to let it be known that I attended the BBA Sexual Chocolate release over the weekend and it was an extremely fun time. The Friday night bottle share was well run and alot of fun.
I received my bottles and when I got home I noticed that one of my bottles did not come with a label. I contacted Foothills and a new label is on the way. They could not have been nicer.

Please share if you have any other great customer service stories ....... it's good to hear about breweries that take care of their patrons

    WTF?

Stay up all night Friday/Saturday morning to get 6.

Walk right in on Monday and grab 12?

Makes sense... I know what I'm doing next year

Wow man it looks like that pic was taken right next to our van. That doofus sitting next to the cooler was a bit of a douche and kept alot of people awake though. Had a great time

My only disappointment was the guys there blatantly selling their 'fresh' cases of ZD and Darklord. I see that stuff happens a bit at DLD, but come on, really?

I was next to them inline on Friday night, extremely nice group of gentleman. They were there to trade and share, just like everyone else. I see nothing wrong with bringing items to trade (which I did with them) or asking for retail cost.

Not to nitpick, but since when is ZD $15 a 6 pack and DL $40 a bottle? Also AFAIK, I don't think the folks at Foothills would appreciate people selling other places beers on their property without a liquor license, but that's just me.

Was your van the silver Chrylser? All of them were D-Bags and I heard one of them, after throwing that Frisbee and it landing close to me, say, "It's over there by that ginger"! My hair is not that red, but I held my tongue as I knew they were tanked. I mean, you know you're not well liked when your nickname is "Dildo" (I heard one of them refer to a guy in the group as such....as in that was his name...not calling him one).

They were asking for $30 for the DL, not $40 and that was if you did not have bottles for trade. I know just as you do that not everyone there brought bottles to trade. So damn, someone brought a bottle to trade and asked almost dollar for dollar value, which is much less than what you would find in the beer trading forum on here and you're going chastise them.

The new breed that will only do dollar for dollar trades and not blatantly take advantage of others...they must be awful, we should stop them!

I'm curious, when Fen Tao comes out this weekend and you go with the family and friend to purchase your extra allotment. Then come home and put them up for trade on here, are you going to ask for something in return that cost $17 or go old school beer advocate and screw someone over?

But did you have fun staying up and meeting other BA's and sharing beer?

Beers like Fen Tao in my circles go to friends and good trading partners in boxes with nothing in particular in mind for return.
You send me your local limited releases when you get a box, and I do the same. I have several open trades going on at any time not knowing what or when I am getting beer in return.

I may get a "deal" one time if the releases I go to are not walez that fill a box going out, but I may "lose" the next 3 using the new BA mentality.

In reality I win every time because I get to meet great traders / friends all over the country, crash at their houses, get invited to great tastings, etc if I am traveling because I am not trying to pad my wallet at their expense.

I have already given away over half my allotment of BASC and I drove a long way to get it.
