Seem to enjoy some of their offerings, a good portion I don't care for, otherwise I still often buy from them when they have something new out.

Their business culture is hysterical, I am glad they don't take themselves so seriously.

I've never had anything from them that blew me away, or even moderately impressed me. That said, I haven't had anything terrible from them either. I guess I'd say they're just okay. Middle of the road craft beer.

For no good reason, they put me off. Occasionally I'll by a bottle of Raging Bitch or their gonzo porter, but oveall I generally pass over them (and we get loads of FD in NY)

I like "The Truth" DIPA and Easy IPA.

For brands sold in many states coming from MD, FD is probably the best.

They're a "like" from me. Gonzo and Kujo are great, but most every other offering are pretty forgettable for me. Their label design/marketing is pretty cool though, I appreciate that.

Their beers are consistently well made and I enjoy them. I don't buy them as much as I used to (they aren't super-common in CO anymore) but I've been happy with them. In particular, their Woody Creek Wit might be the best Witbier I've ever had...or at least it was the last time I had any.
Their Horndog is another beer that is massively underrated but is terrific.

I like it, but I haven't purchased any in well over a year. We just have a ton of options here, so Flying Dog sort of fades into the background.

Your half-joking gross generalization is wrong, though.

As a brewery, I'd say they're pretty good, not great. The Truth (as long as it's very fresh), Citra DIPA, and Gonzo are all rock-solid beers. They have their fair share of stinkers, too (In-Heat Wheat, The Fear, the not remotely missed Tire Bite, K-9), and most everything else ranges from average to pretty good.

Having said that, they've stepped their game up reasonably well compared to around 3 years ago - anyone remember their 12 pack from around that time frame, the one with Tire Bite, Road Dog, Old Scratch, Snake Dog, Doggie Style, and In-Heat Wheat in it? I was completely new and easily impressed by craft beer then, and even I was left nonplussed by it.

I voted like. Some of the Flying Dog beers I've tried and enjoy and others I haven't. But Flying Dog is one of those breweries that if it closed tomorrow, I probably wouldn't notice since for me, there's nothing they have that I can't do without.

Agreed. I live in NOVA and have a hard time finding it. The last time was on tap at National's Park.

That 2015' brewhouse rarities list sounds really awesome. Earl Grey Black Wheat? Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout? It's like they know me! Sign me fucking up! I'm just sad that I never even knew that Kujo Imperial Coffee Stout existed. I've never seen it. Year-Old BA Gonzo is amazing though.

"like them". Like others, good stuff and bad stuff. Love Gonzo and Raging Bitch, Doggie Style is good, Double Dog is a boozy mess. The one I had years ago and have not revisited is Snake Dog. Is it a solid IPA in the eyes of IPA guys?

I used to get it in the Flying Dog variety packs whenever I could but they stopped selling those in my neck of the woods almost a year ago now. It's a shame. I always looked forward to that beer.

Loved 'em when they were in Denver and distribution of their products abounded. I especially enjoyed (and still do) Gonzo and Snake Dog.

But after relocating to Frederick, distribution seemed to disappear for a few years in Colorado. The beer is back now, but it just doesn't seem the same (except for Gonzo) and there are plenty of newer, interesting breweries that have taken up the slack since those lean years. Flying Dog is still an option, but it's way down on the list of 'must have' beers nowadays...

I've tried a couple of their variety packs before. Nothing stood out as noteworthy or worth seeking out again.

Double Dog and Raging Bitch were two of my first forays into craft. I liked them, but have not had either of them since. I've tried some of their core lineup and was disappointed; especially with Snake Dog, which I found to be a sad excuse for an IPA. When The Truth was released, I looked forward to trying it, but never managed to locate it

Gheez, Nebbie is gonna straddle the fence on this one, good solid brewery, I like all of their offerings, however neither love nor hate, probably much the in way I'm enamored with my Pittsburgh locals, Church and Full Pint, you see thru rose colored glasses or more to the point Amber colored bottles, supporting locals is what "This thing of Ours" is all about

I think in an effort to be progressive with their use of hops, they sometimes lack proper balance in their beers.
