I hope so. Had 5 Monks last night, and while it was quite good, I crave a BA stout.

As I've been told many times, it's ready when it's ready. No word yet.

Oh it's ready. I've had a bottle of it. Fantastic beer. They are testing it at the lab, over and over to make sure it does not start another of the famed "Infected Black Tot" Threads. Just still your precious taste buds for a few, it'll most certainly be worth the wait, and... Not Infected!

5 monks was a phenom. It was tasty as hell, and drank like a 9% brew... until you have to get your ass off the couch. I am perfectly content sipping these for now.

I was telling my co-worker about this and when I told him the name he said "can they really name it that?" I asked him what do you mean and he thought I said "Black Guy" beer.

I bet the 9/21 release will be a sight for sore eyes after Zwanze the day before.

Glad I can make the Pump(KY)n release party. Hoping for the best with Black Eye, but I am happy they are putting it on hold.

You're spot on with that description. I have been savings my 5 Monks for awhile, and finally had it while brewing on Sunday; it was definitely worth the wait and did not drink like 19% at all.

And, @DenverBeerDrinker is dead on with the upcoming Avery release parties
    September 21st - Pump[KY]n
    September 28th - Rumpkin

I have some 5 monks at the store I work at. It was pretty hard to get a hold of outside of the actual brewery. Highly alocated. Still have some Rufus Corvus too. Should be getting the PumpKYn too when it is released. The barrel aged series is tough to get. The way it works is, the reps might get 3 cases(Four 6 packs per case) and they have to determine where those 3 cases go. So a rep might have 700 accounts and has to choose 3 stores to get 1 case at each. Most the time these go to the big stores like Argonaut. This is okay because you can be sure they are gonna get the alocations, but also they are gonna fly off the shelf so you have to be lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. But sometimes, the medium sized stores will get thrown a case. A lot of the time the store I work at does. LIke we have had RR Temptation for almost 2 weeks. Anywhere else that would be gone in hours.
