    Great day of college football, and while our Oktoberfest plans were skunked out by a cold, the rain that has subsequently rolled in bears a pleasant relaxed mood of its own. Taking advantage of that to get some reading done for my Master's - and, of course, enjoy a great beer - out on the porch.

    I'm hungry, and I don't have the attention span to make it through these books for long (seriously, this is some dense material), so it's time for a snack of Camembert and Triple Cream cheese from France. Both are absolutely delicious, albeit pasteurized (US cheese laws are rather restrictive).

    The little girl, 15 months old, is going through her first cold, and she's miserable. Sang her some Steven Wilson to calm her down. Hey, whatever works; the little dude is a huge fan of Opeth and Collective Soul. :sunglasses:

    HOLY SHIT!!! That about sums it up but this is THE best non-barrel-aged Imperial Stout that I have ever had. In a word; decadent. Pretty Things should try to BA this Bad Larry. Not only a homerun; a GRAND SLAM. I'm gonna take my time with this one and give it the attention that it truly deserves. Wowza!

    This calls for something HEAVY to accompany it...

    Trying this one out this evening. It's cold and rainy and I wanted something big and warm.

    It was a little too big and warm for my delicate little palate, but it is definitely a good beer and I would have it again. Maybe once there's snow instead of rain.
