I was curious as to what their distribution looked like. I've taken note that their beers are getting traded around and was interested in trying some, but before I went and started posting in ISO:FT I thought I would do some research as far as availability and what not. Are their beers something that's available to most of NE or statewide, or even smaller than that? Any information would be much appreciated!

Actually, that helps. Looks like they distribute to LA or am I reading this wrong?

Seekabrew needs a bit of updating. NH and VT also get Maine Beer Co.

It is italisized which means it is limited or regional. Most of their beers are on a 2-3 month rotating schedule, so every two to three months a new batch of a particular beer is released, but not always.

Is it pretty limited in the NE area?

Can definitely get Maine beers in NY as well (speaking specifically to Westchester County). Down this way ... usually the places that carry them have something but not everything on the shelf. Lunch, probably obviously, moves the quickest. Occasionally, they will be entirely out down this way.

It depends. Lunch will gone within a week or two of release outside of Maine. The rest will sit on the shelves for a bit, especially Peeper. Their prices deter a lot of people from buying it on a consistent basis.

What are their prices like? Do they all come in 22oz format?

It is 22oz or pint bottles (don't remember which off the top of my head) and the usually run anywhere from $6-8 a bottle here in New England. Lunch is usually marked up.

16.9 oz mostly. You're looking at 7-8 dollars each.

I've never seen anything but 16.9 and I would say they are overpriced, but are very good beers so I accept it the times that I buy it. Peeper is the cheapest, Lunch is the most expensive and the others fall in between those two (at least anywhere I have bought them in Westchester County and Cape Cod). I think you can get peeper for $6 and Lunch is usually $8-9 is my recollection.

That actually does seem a bit overpriced for the size, but I've never had any so I'll have to take your word for it.

Their IPAs a very good. Their others, not so much. I agree that they are overpriced though... $7 for 17oz of really good IPA isn't usually a wise investment with the crazy amount of world class IPAs around here.

I would try to trade with someone from Maine because the bottles are usually at least $1 cheaper there. Peeper, Mean Old Tom and Zoe are almost always around the Boston area. Lunch is tough to find but very worth it.
