Heard they released a couple cases of assassin and Kbbs at the brewery again on Saturday...did anyone make it down there for that?

 

For sale to the general public or was it people who were on "the list" that were there picking up their bottles?

 

Not that I'm in the know but I have not heard anything and usually something like that would come out if it was a general public sale.

 

I had heard from a couple guys general public...but they could have been wrong I suppose

 

It could very well have been but I would have thought it would have leaked eventually.

 

The assassin release was pretty quiet at the taproom. It lasted 5 days.

I just called and they said they only have Dorthy, Zeelander and Golden Nugget to go in bottles. I believe he said his name was Tyler and wasn't aware of a silent release this past Saturday - only bottles left are reserved for mug club members and brewmaster Mikes list according to him.

 

I was there Saturday. No bottles that I was aware of.

 

Bumping Thread - any news on MD? They tweeted a picture that had the labels in the background a while back but I haven't heard anything in a long time...

 

My guess- this will be a surprise release just like KBBS. I don't even follow MD or KBBS any more- I figure if I ever land a bottle it will be due to dumb luck.

Assassin was sent out into distro a week before Great Taste, which caused a bit of a feeding frenzy at local shops. Helped keep the tap room quiet, though.

 

I don't believe it is scheduled to be brewed this year or any time soon. I think those were just labels and only that. I wouldn't expect it any time soon.

 

TG has proven to be masters of building hype via social media. Not a criticism- it's good for their business.

 

Maybe they are rebrewing and not releasing so they have more trade bait?

So happy that this thread was bumped so everyone can provide information that isn't out there yet. Now we can all read a bunch of useless posts for the next few weeks (including this one).

Call the brewery and ask them. If they tell you anything, please tell us.

 

It's probably at the tap room like KBBS was...
