Giving Away Beers

I give and get beer weekly. It's just natural.

 

Karmalizing is a real thing. More so than Cocoa Cola.

 

Love doing this. If we get extras we will often give them out to people we know will enjoy them. Most recently we found ourselves swimming in Almanac sours, and ended up shelling out a fair number of those just for fun/beer advocacy. Beer it forward people!!

 

I love BA. Wish I had more disposable income to just send people random stuff. I can't believe I've been gifted beer twice in the past year by a couple awesome Advocates. You know who you are and you are awesome.

 

I love giving away beer to my family, friends or co-workers. If I try something new that I think they'll enjoy or is unique I'll definitely turn them own to it. As someone earlier said "beer karma is real". Some of my favorite beers are ones that someone else gave me to try. It's what makes the hobby fun.

 

Yep I've sent single bottles & more to people on BA. I also inadvertently got my mom, who drinks coors light normally, hooked on bourbon barrel stouts
Unfortunately she thinks they just grow on trees so she's always asking if I have any. She drops off trade boxes for me so I'll usually leave her some out of town stouts or porters. Oh and her new favorite beer is Bells Porter so I've gotten her to upgrade from BMC

 

Yes! In trading I try to include an extra or two. Mainly dictated by the box I'm using, I'm afraid. I'd give more, but not everyone reciprocates.
I home brew (in addition to copious craft selections), so I'm often sharing that as well.

I enjoy giving beer to my co-workers when I have enough to share with everyone. Gave away half of the FFF I was able to get.

 

I've dabbled in gifting by way of sending boxes to BA's. It feels good.

But, at home with friends and family, as weell as the ocassional stranger at local breweries, I do a lot more...a lot more.

 

ive recently started trading, and i must say finding beers to include as extras is more fun than finding the beer the person is actually seeking. Also looking to take part in some BIFs in the future, as soon as i figure out how they work lol

It's better to give than receive Bullshit! I always give beer but never receive !! I'm done giving!!

 

I try to bring at least a bottle a week up to my local. i share w the GM and a couple of the head bartenders. keeps up the karma and free kickbacks coming.

I'm jealous of you fellows North American BAs, its hard to develop a community with my fellows brazilians because I don't participate of brazilian foruns and sites.

BeerAdvocate is my favourite and I don't feel the need of trying another site or forum.

 

I have way too many beers so I frequently give them away to people I think will enjoy them.

 

Share = Yes. All the time. Love to encourage friends to try better beer.

Give away = Rarely. Unless you call buying someone a beer at a bar a giveaway. I call it sharing.

 

Same here. I currently have a little 'thank you' hit list, but beyond that, I look forward to someday (hopefully) being able to afford to send some bottles to some BAs just for the hell of it.
