This cracks me up. Matt Bonney is having his own craft beer week next week.

    Monday 9/15
Destihl sour night with the guys from Destihl:
    - St Dekkera Pinot Barrel Lambic
    - St Dekkera strawberry sour
    - St Dekkera Sour French Saison
    - Sour Flanders Red
    - Black sour Berliner Weisse
    - Gose Sour

    Tuesday 9/16
    Bruery night:
    Melange 1
    Chocolate Rain
    Humulus lager
    Autumn maple
    Oude tart
    Atomic kangarue (ouch)
    Ignis fatuus

    Wednesday 9/17
Black Raven night(lots of awesome stuff I'm sure but nothing confirmed)

    Saturday 9/20:
    New Belgium night (nothing confirmed)

I'm amused that Bonney is doing his own beer week. Wonder if he'll do anything Thursday or Friday. Wonder if his staff will stick with him lol.

(Just so you know, I'm not "in the know".) What's the deal? Why the animosity?

I wondered the same - maybe i'm naive, but this seems like a good thing?

I'm not sensing any animosity. OP seems bemused by the idea that a single place could do a beer week with some tap lists that rival what's on during the "official" beer week. And, I agree, having to learn all new beers each night of the week might cause a bit of a Mutiny amongst the staff.

I'm good friends with the staff and Bonney. Just laughing about the audacity:slight_smile: but not going to miss next week!

I won't be able to go every night, but I'll make sure to walk over at least once.

So the strawberry sour is ridiculously good. Lambic is crazy acidic.
Just happy about more fun sours around town:slight_smile:

I had the "lambic" (acetic, not very funky), the flanders (sharply acidic, indistinct red fruit) and the black BW (cleanly lactic with slight chocolate on retronasal olfaction). Wish I could have tried more!

    Whoa. $9 6oz pours.

How much is a bottle of this stuff?

I figured this was the case - this has quickly become 'market' pricing on this sort of stuff. It's a market I will not be participating in.

Ha, right. I've had it before and I'll have it again in a few weeks at GABF I'm sure. I'd at least like to see Toronado add serving size to their online beerlist, so I don't have to just assume its overpriced

They're making their "more than fair" share as well. $9 Adam? Nope.

They were charging $9 for the Pfriem Ella single hop pale. It's $5 for a pint at Bottleworks.

I was at the Chocolate Rain event... oops I meant the Bruery tap takeover night. It was packed with people by about 7pm. I think Chocolate Rain > Black Tuesday > Grey Monday. I haven't had Mocha Wednesday yet but man... CR was really awesome to the point it was almost worth $12 for 6 oz pour!!!
