They have been making PF just as much as the other two. It just sells much quicker.

Absolutely agreed. That's a ridiculous price for a session beer. There are plenty of solid choices out there for half that price.
FFF's margins on this brew must be astronomical.

It will be $10 at the brewpub. What @stephenieman was referring to was the ridiculous markup that smaller stores in Chicago will charge for this. Places like Binnys and other reputable stores will probably charge $10.99-$11.99.

and this is exactly why it is hitting bottles. trying to pass of other reasons is insulting.

It's the distributor's pricing that has caused FFF's prices to go up, not necessarily the shops'.

I have no problem paying a premium for a six-pack of any quality brew. Typically, I've paid $13.99-$16.99 + Tax on average for sixers of FFF around the NW Burbs. Paying $2.50-$3.00 a bottle doesn't seem unreasonable to me; especially when you consider the price of some 22 oz. craft bombers. Personally, I'm looking forward to giving this one a try...if I can find it!

No way, Dreadnaught is better IMO. PF is great too, but I think Dread is a better choice for a year round. APW is year around as well, so why not all three

I could get behind replacing APW with PF perhaps.

if they really wanted to stick it to us they could bottle in large format. They had already set the precedent with space station and man-o-awe which are both similar beers that have recently been released in bombers. That's really where the money's at:

    6 x 12 oz (72 oz) =$10 or 1 x 22 oz = $10

FWIW, I will drink it 10,000% more than I drank P&J and Robert the Bruce combined...

To be fair I'd rather have seen it replace Jinx Proof. But then again that would make too many of their normal offerings in the APA camp.

Lining up for any beer is pretty LOL-worthy when you think about it.

The yum yum switch is in 5 hours, so probably not. If you need p&j that bad it shouldn't be too hard to find.

FFF posted to "not park in the lot prior to 11:00 today." Wonder where everyone is camped out.

So FFF is even anticipating a bunch of dumb fucks lining up for a year round session pale. People are probably scattered around the industrial park in other businesses parking lots waiting for 11am to hit.

Telling people not to show up early makes them show up even earlier. It's called building hype. If you haven't paid attention the last 10 year, 3 Floyd's knows how do that better than making beer.

I went out to pick some up...got there at 1130 parked in the lot and waited in line for maybe 10 minutes. Talked to some cool people in lone and picked up a couple bombers as well...not as crazy as everyone was anticipating. Consensus seemed to be that everyone would rather they kept p&j and switched out robert the bruce

did you fa real already snap a pic of your haul and make it your profile pic?

edit, nvm, looks like gumballhead and ssmf, so im prob wrong thank science.

2nd edit. knowing FFF, they prob don't have yum yum case boxes yet so they likely used GBH, and i see they put SSMF on again so im probably right. to each their own, but that is the epitome of beer geerkery.
