I figured I could get them to stop off at Wicked Weed and do some purchasing for me. I am guessing they do not have a list of their bottles online each day (did not see it on their website or facebook)? If not, I figure I will just call them the day of and tell my parents what to get.

Second question: Is there a bottle shop that is likely to work with me if I call them up and have them put together a box of good NC beer? I have done it before in Michigan and Vermont where I called up two stores, talked to the beer guys, and they put a box together of some solid more local beers. I paid over the phone, and my parents swung in and picked up the box without worrying about paying or "finding" the right beers.

Third question: I have been to Asheville before, but it was 5 years ago and a lot has changed since then. Is there any other breweries like Wicked Weed that will have a bottle shop on site that are "must gets" to go (and easy to do)? I am trying to make this as easy and least complicated for my parents.

Read up on Asheville threads. You can buy bottles at most of the breweries that, um, bottle like Highland, French Broad, etc... Appalachian Vintners would be my choice for putting together some bottles for you or guiding your parents around while they fill a box or two for you. Give them a call. Brusin Ale would be my second choice. Since Small Breweries in NC can self distribute, without having your parents hit every brewery, just stick with either App Vit or Brusin, those would be the easiest to get NC beer at, m'thinks.

Agreed with @NCMonte, other than that most of the places that bottle in Asheville other WW you can readily find their bottles in the local bottle shops like Appalachian Vintners and Bruisin' Ales, so why bother? The only question would be something like Highland Thunderstruck that, depending on when your parents come through, might have just been released and so the bottle shops may or may not have it. The only exception might be Pisgah since what they have in bottle shops can be different than what they have at the brewery sometimes, but Pisgah doesn't bottle that much anyway, so maybe not worth it (though I do love their beer).

Don't recall which Pisgah's AV still had when I was in there last but I was pretty bummed they were out of Pisgah's Vortex II. Man I loved that bomber, can't wait till next batch, will have to buy a case and stash it.
