Is this a new batch or just remains from this summer's release?

Anyone know what's up with the BA Cake release? I kept hearing it would be July but it never happened.. unless it was a super secret release where the bottle count was <10.

Nobody knows and with each passing day I'm losing interest.
So if by doing his they wanted to keep people from out of state showing up, it's working.
I've learned that breweries are a lot like tattoo parlors.
They do what they please and you are at their mercy.

I think a lot of people are with zookerman. Westbrook is keeping everything hush hush with the exception of their post showing them drinking the tequila variant. Could be this weekend while the rest of the country gets to enjoy Zwanze day. Who knows?

I have no clue when this will be released but if its not tomorrow my chances of getting any drop from slim to near none. I am not optimistic.

Is it really that much of a big deal? really? They'll release when they're ready, that's it. If your there or close your good, you want to drive 500 miles your beat, which I suppose is the idea.

So how did those people camping out in tents from last year know about it the day before?

It was announced well before the release day. Different times, before the hype. That won't be possible this time. Too many geeks foaming at the mouth for it.

^^^What he said. The announcement last year was about a week beforehand. The advance announcement this year will be about 12 seconds, just long enough to unlock the doors for business!

If I don't make it in time, I won't cry about it. But I do expect it to be announced a bit different from last year's release.

You beat me to it! I'm headed down Friday. Anyone interested in meeting up for a bottle share?

Thousands of people inauspiciously lurking around the brewery gates predawn--trying to strike the delicate balance of staking their positions while not arousing the patrol--clamoring over who among them are rightful claimants to the 425 skull-adorned wristbands.

This is going to well. Real well.

Sincerely though, best of luck to all who give it a shot. Be kind to each other.

Though this will be the first time I've missed a BA Mex Cake release, after reading how they are going to be handing out tickets to folks in line, I can't say that I'll be too torn up about missing it. Yeah, I really would love to get just one bottle, but I don't know that I would go if I was still living there. After seeing what happened at CCB, my faith in humanity has dwindled. On the good side, I'll be enjoying gallons of Zwanze in Honolulu! Supposedly an extremely low key release every year.

How much was DB Huna? Better beer, that is a matter of opinion. BA cake has been tops in all the comparative tastings against CC I have been to.
