It would have sucked for you to forget it as it was only released during the Bo & Luke day. I am not sure I would have been able to replace it.

That's not an invalid suggestion; joining SWTFYW "requires" reading through the thread's 670 page history (and yes, I did just that).

If you do that, and live to tell the tale, please let me know how it's done.

I did that too, just to look at all the pretty beer hauls. And loved trying to figure out the hints before someone else.

Yup, about an hour from terrapin, and jekkyll brewing. Can bring Terrapin, jailhouse, sweetwater, red hare, red brick, three taverns and more to the table :grinning: Excited to be part of it.

Will I be considered a noob to the thread since I have not done this bif before or no? Just for shipping date purposes so I can plan some stuff :grinning:

fan fucking tastic. a lot like backyard rye, which is just what i was going for. the fruit doesn't really show up in the front, that's still all BCBS, but as i swallow it gets very prominent with a very nice aftertaste

how do you do it with coffee, whole beans in the french press? grind them first? If the latter but I don't have a grinder, could I rough chop them instead?

I can confirm this guy sent a great box! We had a simple trade set up, and he actual made me feel a bit guilty with his extras! I hope to trade with him again soon! Everything was well packed and the communication was top notch! Thanks again Matt!

I sent you a message about this. But from my perspective I am gonna see how many newbies we have, I think the number is pretty low. With the number of people in this, a target who gets screwed may end up netting the best haul anyway because of consolation boxes. And besides, I will find you! :-)

FWIW, I'm gonna try and have the targets out by next weekend. Maybe sooner, but I actually want to send them all out pretty much simultaneously.

@Lehighace06: How are you doing the infusions? Looks like with a french press? Do you just let it sit there or do you press it? That Westbrook Gose you showed looks really interesting. I happen to have three Goses sitting around (Westbrook, Anderson Valley, and the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp All System's Gose that a couple of my friends brewed) and it'd be really interesting to try them infused. How much fruit do you use?

I use a french press to infuse as well and typically will let the flavors infuse 45 minutes or so. With BCBS I let it sit on the counter and it warms the BCBS up a bit to get it to drinking temp. If I were infusing an IPA/or Gose I typically put it back in the beer fridge to keep it around 45-50 degrees. As far as how much to infuse I think it is a preference and you can eyeball it or trial and error. I will press it every once in a while if I get up and walk by the french press but I am not sure it is necessary to press it too frequently. I know you asked Lehigh but thought I would toss in my two cents.

    Cheers!

@treznor yes a french press, $20 on amazon, will link if you like when home from zwanze (#humblebrag) is working great but a bitch to clean. I'm using a fork to macerate the fruit, pour and very light stir. Let sit, press whole pouring. Last night's got a little messy since i used so much fruit it got a bit mixed in and was tough to drain the beer, bit it was worth it

Keep in mind poor only half the beer, agitation from pour, stir, and press/re pour kills carbonation, so the half left in cam/bottle is crucial, especially with gose, less so with bcbs

Good point to pour half the beer to infuse...Not only does it protect the carbonation level for (Ipas/Gose not crucial with BCBS) but it allows you some buffer if you happen to over infuse and want to dilute a bit.
