    Bell's Best Brown Ale

Looked and smelled like the standard brown ale. No surprises there. The taste, on the other hand, is much more balanced than that of other brown ales that I've had. In terms of "best brown ale," it's competing within a style that I'm not hugely fond of (I don't dislike them, there's just not much to them) but this is definitely one of the better ones. 3.5/5

Giving this one a second go... It really is an amazing stout. As close to actually being chewable as it gets. Cheers!

This, my fellow BA brethren is more-than-worth the price of admission...and yep, I am drinking one now. Think what you will, but DFH continues to absolutely 'kill it' with bold beers that they have been brewing for over ten years with uncanny consistency: Burton Baton, Palo Santo Marron, 90 Minute IPA, Immort Ale, Red & White and Olde School...Burton Baton is a particular favorite and will purchase a case whenever I can source some fresh...the body, hops and oak aging converge to make this nothing short of a world-class beer.

I'm making up a crockpot full of chili (with guajillos and pasillas) for a party we're having tomorrow, so that calls for a beer, naturally. The Straub Pilsner continues to impress.
