I'm pretty sure I've been sitting on this bottle for two years, but I wanted to confirm, so I searched the bottle up and down looking for a date. All I can find is the following:

    3108614:57

This has me thinking maybe I confused this bottle, as 310 could be March 10th, which would follow SN's release schedule, and the 14 might imply a 2014 release. But then what the heck is the 86 there and the :57.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Sierra does a great job with their bottle dating, I'm not sure what they did or why as far as this Ovila bottle.

Ah, it never even occurred to me that the three could be 13. Everything you said makes a lot of sense. Thank you, sir.

I've seen a few breweries use Julian Dates...wonder why

Why? It's probably what the date stamper is set up for when operating in default mode. It takes a minute to reset the message. But, these things take time because the screen is small, and the directions are pretty obtuse and when you are dong a bunch of other things while getting set up to run for the day, it's just a convenient and easy thing to go and leave it run the default Julian dated message.
