No, I don't. But I can hope. I have no horse in this race though. Even though 020202 is very very rare, I have absolutely no interest in it since I couldn't care less about completing the vertical.

EDIT: Its impressive the OP's got a "couple" of them though.

Same. In general I don't really get why people are willing to go so crazy over obviously over-the-hill beer, and this is just the pinnacle.

it bears repeating that the OP can easily ask for 03 thru 11 (12) for one 02 and get it.

edit: also, some serious "newb ships first" complications with this. i would strongly suggest in person trade if possible.

Thanks all for the comments. I will definitely make sure my friend doesn't get "ripped off" if he chooses to trade a bottle or two 02s or 03s to fill in his vertical and more. I just wish the brews were mine to do what I want with.

I havent seen either trading in the forums over the past year so just wasn't too sure of the value and now I do.

    Thanks again!

ps. you guys are making me feel like a little 12 yr old with all of the noob talk.

Oh i know. I actually really appreciate the help as a) i have never dealt with a wale like this and b) i would be playing with someone else's treasure to begin with.

I just hope both parties end up satisfied and everyone who experiences their vertical in december enjoys it.

    Cheers all

    Oooh, can I play?

"Fair value" for a 10 year old witbier? Something that will be barely drinkable on a good day?

Advice- put this one up on eBay. By any rational measure, you're only trading for the bottle, since the beer in it will barely be drinkable at this point. So you'll be one of the few people actually following the eBay rules.
And, you'll get $500+, which is better than any trade you'll get here. Buddy of mine got $700+ for his 02.02.02.

PT Barnum said something a while back, just can't recall exactly what...

Quite a few 02/02/02s? I thought there were only 2 undrank cases left on earth.

What would you rather have... a few bottles of beer, or $500?

Again, for a beer that will barely be drinkable? Anyone who trades for an 02 VE right now is certainly not trading for the actual beer. Why beat around the bush. "Trade" for the value.

I'd rather have less beers for sale on eBay. Obviously you and OP can do whatever you want. You have your opinions and I have mine...no reason I can't make a case opposite of yours though right?

If your "case" is actually for acquiring a 10 year old witbier to DRINK?

No, you can't make that case. At least not with a straight face.

If anyone actually think the early Stone VE beers still exist for drinking, they're kidding themselves. So why beat around the bush?

Okay, so I have a question about this beer. Stone made this with the purpose of releasing one every year for 10 years, correct? Then why in the hell did they make a witbier for the first one?!
