Figured I'd start a thread for this event.
Happy to have scored tickets after missing out last year.
Book your hotel now since rates spike quickly and they can run out.
There is the Hotel next door (most convenient) and Hampton Inn (0.25 mile away and $40 cheaper).
From past experience, the bottleshare is on par with the event itself.
Recommend bringing a small cooler to keep bottles chilled.
There will be some awesome BAs and some awesome beers being cracked to everyone's delight.
If anyone wants to meetup before the party or the next day, BM me. I'd love to join in and crack a few. Planning to bring plenty to share.

Can't stop trolling or shit threading. But, useful/pertinent info would be appreciated for people seeking good info for the event.

Not a stout drinker so I didn't even know what this was. Apparently it's already sold out online unless you show up at the brewery on saturday which is only about 450 miles from me. sheesh.

I've missed the last 2 years. If you want to score some tickets on Saturday, better campout starting tonight...
However, I'm lucky enough to have a friend that is selling me his extra ticket, so I'll see you there HaveUSeenMyCellar!

I wouldn't worry too much. Eclipse makes it way down south, and sometimes sits on shelves due to the steep price

missed out on tickets due to the site issues that many have reported. a bit sad for sure and I was going to drive down but figured against it. So do people really camp out for tickets at the pub? With all the crap these beers get they must have a big fan following because tickets selling out in a minute for a 100 bucks each is crazy. Personally I enjoy these beers so I'd be in the fan camp but seriously these tickets are almost as hard as DLD tickets.

Going for the first time. Would the veterans recommend eating beforehand, or is there enough food there to hold everyone over during a marathon drinking session?

Plenty of food available during the event (not full meals, but lots of small plate appetizers that were very good.) As far as I remember (things got a little hazy after a couple hours) the food was readily available for almost the entire night.

I recall the food getting scooped up quick as well. Though it came out regularly. Not to mention there is tons of cheese, dried meats, fruit, etc. that are out all night.
Personally, I'm leaving room for the delicious nectar of the gods. :-)

We usually grab a late lunch around 3-4pm when we make the trip up so we don't go starving, and drinking on empty.

I went last year for the first time. I did score 2 this year, the site was odd the link didn't show up for me until almost 6 min past the time it said it would and I even had to change 2 values in the fields Chrome auto-filled for me and I had 2 easily. People do camp for these (much like Darkness day here which is unticketed). But for $100 this is easily worth it, just with the free exclusive bottle for attendees (which I still have mine from last year that vanilla was unrealz), free glass, an epic bottle share only just barely surpassed by the Darkness Day one (one fellow brought a 4 or 5 year Firestone Walker anniversary vertical last year full lineups of Cantillon, etc). You get your money out of it for sure.

I will likely be unable to use my tickets though, I just wanted to try and get them and then figure out work details, but looks like I won't get the time this year to go :slight_frown: so my former boss who I attended with last year gets em (he has a cabin 5 min from Truckee). So I'll have him snag me a case of that Java/Vanilla.

The best variants are gone almost immediately in the Bay, still some of the lesser variants sitting on shelves here too.

i agree and this year it seems the best variants were futures only. On that note though usually the release party exclusive is incredible and usually it seems that there is a variant or two that they do not sell for futures that is a suprise so to speak that is usually outstanding

Im sad to say that this will be the second year in a row that I have missed out on tickets due to the issues on the site. :slight_frown: Hopefully next year I will be able to get tickets. But if anyone wants to trade for their party bottle let me know!

the past 2 years ive traded for tickets to the event, so if you guys really want to go keep an eye out on the tickets forum. plans change for everyone and being on a thursday makes it even more common tickets to hit the boards

Missed out on tickets myself - welcomed my first child into the world on Monday night, so the connection at the hospital while using the iPad, combined with my sleep deprivation by Tuesday night resulted in only getting on the wait list… (which I fail to see the point of - no one is returning their tix to fifty fifty if it turns out they can't go…)

So I'll be keeping an eye out for tickets too - looks they are running a little photo competition on facebook/instagram that will award a couple tickets as well, so there's always hope there.

Missed out because I put in the date reminder for the next day and missed it altogether. It was such a great time last year and I was hoping to get back again for another. If anyone reading the thread has two tickets to sell/trade, then get in touch. I have several years of Eclipse to sweeten the deal.

I know the event is getting close, so if anyone may not be able to make it I am looking for a ticket still. If you have an extra, definitely message me.
