I was told yesterday they pushed it to Nov due to their Oktoberfest and XIII Anniversary events already scheduled for Oct. I think they are pouring Reginald Brett at today's release.

    1) There was no prize for being first in line today
    2) No tree eaters, brie fritters or three litre bottles were opened at the event
    3) Reginald Brett was not very good
    4) Agrestic was superb and FW threw a fantastic event!

Yeah, no food really...more like palate cleansers. That's okay though cause they did say the food would just be "small bites" in the PR.

Agrestic and Feral Vinifera are exceptional and I really liked Reginald Brett actually. Last but not least, Sour Jim and Jeffers along with the whole FW crew are awesome!

I'm in love with Feral Vinifera. Agrestic is quite good, and I especially enjoyed the chance to try the '13, '14, #20 (French Oak), and #26 (American Oak) iterations alongside each other. The #26 was probably my favorite. Reginald Brett was pretty nice, I thought.

Feral Vinifera was so different and so much better in the bottle. Yeah, that was a great beer release. But I have to agree, the small bites were.... small.

If there's one thing I would have changed, it would be to split up the counter in the barrel room to two different lines. Cause that was the longest line for Agrestic 20/26, Reginald brett and Feral Vinifera pours.

It was also very heavy on the DDBA variants and Agrestic variants.

Still all in for any future events as it was good times to be had.

Agreed, I thought #26 was the best (though I honestly don't "get" Agrestic apparently—too funky maybe?). Also, epic avatar/handle.

Grats to Firestone again! Not only a great event, but the pours were Awsome! Loved Agrestic in all its forms; 2013,2014,#20,#26, but Feral Vinifera was the treat of the day. I enjoyed the Reginald Brett also. Cheers to Sour Jim, Jeffers and the whole crew!

I saw a barrel labeled "Wheaty Bones" & last night fw_sourjim posted a picture to Instagram of "Sour James and the Feral Peach" with the caption "Ok, Party over. Time to get back to work!" Anyone else see some other cool barrel labels?

I saw a barrel of peach near the bottle pickup along with several grape varietals.

Good to hear most of you guys enjoyed Reginald Brett. The flavors just didn't work for me. Wasn't horrible, but I personally wouldn't seek it out.

Agreed, getting to sample four (very different) versions of Agrestic was a treat. Very happy with the taps that were there but I was surprised they didn't have Velvet Merkin at the event, especially since it was recently released and was on tap in the restaurant a few feet away. But all in all a fantastic event and definitely worth the price of admission.

    My $0.02:

I loved the French Oak Agrestic which was my favorite, followed by the '13...So I'm keeping all my '13s till next year  Feral Vini was awesome as well. Really happy that we were able to buy 6 instead of 4.

Reginald Brett, not a fan of this one. At least I won't have to drive 4h again for this beer.

That spicy sausage and the goat cheese snacks were really tasty! Pretzels were good too! Pretzels are always good!

Feral Vinifera was definitely the highlight followed by Agrestic # 26. I was amazed how much the type of barrel the beer was aged in transforms the taste. Reginald Brett was good but just wasn't for me.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about the return to the single session format. The lines were crazy long (especially for Agrestic/Feral) so I think two shorter sessions would've made the event more enjoyable. All in all I had a blast and look forward to the next one!

Or maybe keep it to one session but shorten the lines by not pouring stuff like UDBA and use that station for Feral V or equivalent.

Yeah, I didn't even bother trying Feral V there because the line was too long. Every other station there was pretty much empty.

If not dropping stuff like DBA, maybe splitting the desirable into different stations so that people are more distributed.

I personally got there late, at 12:30pm and I haven't waited in the FV / #20 & #26 Agrestic line longer than 5-10mins and I went through it 4 times. My favorite station was the one next to the entrance with '13 and '14 Agrestic.

The longest line I had too stand in was the bottles pick up one. I wasted around 30 minutes over there and then it was 1:45 and all the beer station were closed which was kind of disappointing. I wouldn't wait in the pick up line before 2pm if I knew that the beer won't last until 2pm.

I think they should go back to the other two-session ticketed format. It was awesome! Didn't wait in a single line.
