My wife would only jump me if i first gave her the Jai Alai.

As someone mentioned briefly before - it's BrewHub. This new faclility located off of I-4 near Lakeland is basically "mass producing" Jai Alai and some of the other flagships of CCB. My two cents: it's being brewed by a different facility, different brewers, different water, etc. All that they are going off is a recipe (which don't get me wrong, it's about 94% near what it should be), but it's not the same beer that you will get in the tap room of CCB. As many of you said, the haziness is gone as well as there is more bitterness as opposed to the grapefruit/citrus flavors. It would be like CCB producing their beers out of a brewery in California - the recipe will be the same, yet all of the factors that go into minerals, water, etc. will affect the overall outcome of the beer. They will get it close to the original, but it will never be as good/delicious as it is from the tap of the on site CCB brewery.

Also, thought I might add that I support the whole "BrewHub" movement because it is allowing CCB to expand it's distribution MUCH more than it used to be. You were never able to pick up Tocobaga over in Orlando, but yet it is now EVERYWHERE - which I think is a great thing.

I actually think the 09/09/14 White Oak tastes a bit off. It's more malty, and the oak isn't as fragrant as I've had it. Still good, but not as AMAZING as I've had in the past. Last batch of White Oak was soooo good.

Jai Alai is not being produced at BrewHub. Just wanted to clarify that. All of the other core beers may be, but not Jai Alai.

BrewHub isn't just some factory that takes a recipe and repeats it. They tailor water profiles (minerals, etc) to match what each brewer wants, the brewers at BrewHub are professionals and work closely with their clients. And no, Jai Alai isn't brewed at BrewHub, it's all coming out of CCB. This is a professional facility, not some schmuck with a beard and a really big homebrew kit.

Brew Hub hasn't started brewing anything for anyone yet to my knowledge. Haven't heard when the brewery will be up and running but the tasting room just opened.

I was told they are brewing beer, and was told that the bright tanks that are visible from the taproom were full...if they're full, beer is being brewed there, no?

I realize saying all of that I had no grounds/or any real evidence to support my statement. It was more or less an assumption to which I thought made most sense in my mind. Sorry for the misinformation.

Did a blind side by side with 9/25 and 8/11 a couple days ago just to see how much "fall off" there is. I've had the 8-11 in the fridge since a couple weeks old so it wasn't siting in some hot store for a month.

From appearance all the way to taste, they are 2 completely different beers. The fresher of the two was great and the 8 week old one was an absolute malt bomb (which my wife preferred!). I just wonder how much difference there is between 2 week old and 2 day old.

I agree with anyone who says Jai Alai falls off faster than any other IPA made.

Had one last night dated 3/10/15 and the floaties are gone! Sucker was clear as a bell. Last one I had was last summer. Still good, just didnt seem to be as juicy.

    What happened to the floaties?

Jai Alai definitely had "floaties" at one point, but it's been a long time. I think it may even date back to before they started canning it. My favorite full of "floaties" beer right now is Category 5.

I buy Jai Alai once or twice a month. I remember getting one 6 pack that had floaties like 3 years ago. That was the only time. Love that beer. Every time I go to somewhere it's sold, I check the dates and if it's inside 2 weeks from canning - sometimes you can find days from canning or only one week - I get it and it's amazing and one of the best IPAs out there. I will buy it up to a month or so from canning. After a month it falls off a lot and becomes just OK, but it's amazing when you can find it fresh. Haven't observed a noticeable difference in taste in recent months really...

Being in FL the last 3 of 4 weeks I can definitely say that Jai Alai tastes better in MI
