Founders Fall Releases

I totally understand. My 2-week old FBS has a seriously aggressive coffee profile that could win over anyone. I do wish it weren't quite so "hot," but there's a lot to love here.

 

FBS just went on tap at the brewery, I will be getting a growler tonight, can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Dang no FBS here in Tucson AZ yet.

I like it as well. I got halfway through the first bottle when I thought "if they would use this recipe for their pale ale and sell it year-round I would be very happy."

 

(Probably catch shit for this but...) Is it just me or is breakfast stout noticeably more boozy and not as viscous as past vintages?

 

Same here, I find their regular pale very forgettable and I never really choose it over Centennial, Porter, or Dirty Bastard. If they moved to this recipe though that would change.

 

Can anyone tell me where to get this FBS in the southwest part of MI (Niles or Three Oaks area) (good friend there that is willing to pick some up and send my way) I think we will get it here in Florida but the vultures that don't work will swoop this up as soon as it hits the store

 

TW Norfolk says "soon" for FBS. As vague as you can imagine -__-

 

Haven't seen FBS in Indiana yet... Impatiently waiting!

 

Any harvest sightings in Chicagoland?

 

Just had some Mosaic Promise on tap last weekend... I didn't expect it to be so awesome.

Picked up a few 4 packs of FBS yesterday and it does seem a bit boozy this year. I'll probably sit on the others until xmas and see how it tastes then.

 

Mosaic Promise got in my belly yesterday. A very deceptively easy beer to drink. The Golden Promise does what it does very politely in the background and the Mosaic hops handle the rest from nose to finish.

I still have 3 bottles stored away of Founders Imperial Stout , I can't wait to try there BLack IPA .

 

Didn't find FBS boozy at all, have 3 four packs bottled 9/1/14 and they are amazing. Now just waiting for the harvest ale to hit stores here..

 

I agree with this. I picked up a 1/4 barrel for the kegerator also from 9/1 and had a few pours last night. I didn't get boozy at all.

Such a great beer.

I passed on Mosaic...I had it on tap a month or so ago and thought it was meh. Given all the rave reviews here, I might have to grab a sixer and give it another shot.

 

I'm with ya. Grabbed a growler last fir night from the taproom and thought the same thing.

 

I bought 3 "cases" last year. Priced by the 4 Pack though.
