I have a solution. Get a team of bouncers to hang out in the parking lot. If they see or hear anything suspicious...kick some ass! It's ridiculous that JK has to go to this trouble for people cheating a system to buy beer.

JK won't stop until they have all of my money. Thank sweet baby Jesus there isn't glassware whew.

 

With 2700 bottles, i do not think you need to go to that extreme. I would do that for 1000 or less releases IMO.

 

This. People pretend when they say "limit 1 per day" it's just a wink wink, bring your mules or find a cute way to circumvent the system. I don't think JK sets limits for their own satisfaction or revenue.

 

I come from the shadows to acquire as much as this as possible.

 

Had a great time at Jester King this past Friday and it was sweet that there were no lines. But I couldn't help but feel a little burned by the fact that not only were there no Fen Tao bottles left (or La Vie for that matter), but we couldn't even try a glass of it because even though there was draft Fen Tao left it was only on the outdoor station, which is not open on Fridays. And now this comes out the weekend after we're there, ouch!

Oh well, maybe we'll make it back there in another 3 years or so, ha.

 

Its not much different even when you live in Houston, believe me.

 

With the pre-trade offers that are out there, Jester King better be prepared for an assault like never seen before. You thought Fen Tao was bad, just wait until you see what Texans will do when they realize they can finally score a Mexican Cake (non-BA) or Hunahpu. Or those crazy, 24-bottle limit Hill Farmstead shelf beers.

 

I know it really pisses me off when *insert non-local brewery* releases *insert whale-ish bottle* around the same time that I visited but wasn't actually there. Wait, that happens all the time to tons of people... I wondered if I have an entitlement problem?

 

I doubt it's like the Fen Tao release. Lots of non-Austinites came in the last two weeks for Fen Tao and Zwanze, tough to pull together a trip on such short notice.

It will be crowded but no moreso that Atrial, IMO.

 

I wish Apricots were as available as Raspberries. This is by far the best Jester King beer I've had. And I was told this blend is better than the first!

Curious how many unopened batch 1 bottles are around. I'm still holding onto mine.

 

If I were still in Texas, I'd love to do this job. Even better, I'd only charge something like $16/day, cough cough...

 

He was joking at the fact that noobs are trading these brewery only low bottle count releases for shit that's on a shelf or easily attained.

I think between people blowing their loads on Fen Tao and Zwanze and sandwiched in between ACL, we have a good shot at this sticking around at least until the second week. I hope.
