Also in 43054 for $6.99. I have bought and enjoyed a few, and really enjoy the 32 oz format. Why are people complaining!? Great beer, great amount, for a great price! If you dont want 32 oz of beer (c'mon, who on here is going to say they don't) then don't buy it!

I never had a gusher with Helios. They made a production change to 'fix' that problem; they implemented that 'fix' several years ago.

It is 'safe' to buy Helios again if you are so interested.

    Cheers!

So I'm not the only one that seemed to taste a difference in the 32oz bottles. I love Sucks and have bought a ton of it in 6 packs. It's one of my favorites.

The beer that I got out of the 32oz bottle didn't have the same aroma or taste. It was still good but I was disappointed.

Maybe I'm just remembering it different because it's been a while since I've had Sucks. I don't know but I won't be buying many, if any, more of the 32 oz bottles after I finish the other one that I bought.

Living in AZ I hadn't seen the sucks in 32oz. bottles yet. On my visit...which I am currently still on...to upstate N.Y. I have found it readily available. I haven't had it since the holidays, so I was just excited to have it. It was better on tap I think, but still an awesome beer. When I saw it there was almost a clean up on aisle 8 I got so excited. Hopefully it will be in AZ when I get home.

It's because formerly you could have 36oz of the beer for $5.

The cognitive dissonance surrounding this is astounding.

So good. As far as keeping the 32oz. fresh, you could always just re-crimp the cap on the bottle. For home-brewers that's easy.

found it in McLean, VA today. bought two at 6.99 each. i too prefer 12oz bottles because i don't really have people to readily share it with and 32oz is usually a little too much for me to drink.

Actually that doesn't work, as many homebrewers can attest. It will go flat. Slower maybe, but still pretty quickly.

Plus 1 for the sentiment and another + 1 for using S.A.T. words.

Aside from Sucks being supreme, this is why I picked up a few bottles.

Really? I was not aware of that. I guess that makes sense. The beer would already be introduced to oxygen so it wouldn't matter if you re-crimp the cap on the bottle.

Sucks in 6 packs for $10 is a "great" deal. Sucks in 32 oz quart bottles for $7, is a "good" deal. Nobody is arguing the quart bottles are a better value than the 6 packs. Those of us who love Sucks are willing to pay the extra price per oz. until the 6 packs are back out in January.
But what other great DIPA can you buy for $10 for a 6 pack? Or $4.81 for a bomber(which is the equivalent of 32 oz.@ $7)? I love Dirtwolf and Hop Ranch and Victory as an example is priced pretty reasonably, but even those beers are $9-$12 for a 4 pack.
I am happy to just have Sucks available year round and will gladly pay the increased amount rather than spend more on other DIPA's I don't think are as good.

I cringe when I see the four pack prices..

Hop Ranch and Dirtwolf cost 42.50$ a case.

“I cringe when I see the four pack prices..” As a fellow Pennsylvanian I do too! I had the chance about a week ago to ask a Victory Brewing sales rep that was at a local bottle shop store (Wegmans) why Victory is switching from 6-packs to 4-packs; I emphasized that this format change is ‘encouraging’ retailers to boost their profits. He provided no good answers to my questions. I requested that he take my feedback back to his management chain but I sincerely doubt that he will (based upon the smirk on his face).

I have seen a few BAs from New Jersey post that Victory 4-packs are sold in their stores for $7.99 a 4-pack. Now, that is a reasonable price for a 4-pack.

    Cheers!

Dont worry Jack, dont you think any Director of Sales knows whats happening in the markets he works every day? And what the competitors are putting in packages too (90 Min, Palate Wrecker, Bombers, Sucks 32's, etc.). And retail pricing always varies, look at Two Hearted in 6 packs (about 36-38 cs/retail) versus HopDevil which is usually around 32. Personally Im more amazed at the price points of 750s from several well known large craft brewers. And then there is the whale trade, $85 for Heady? Pliney singles? All breweries can do is set FOB pricing, the rest is up to the next two tiers. And lastly, the best selling beers from Victory are all sold in 24/12oz/cs. PA is not the USA for beer sales, thats for certain and VBC is in 35 states now.

BTW, someone told me Harvest Ale won't be in bombers this year. And its gonna have tons of fresh Yakima wet hops that won't suck at all. Get it by the case to minimize the cost hit and be happy we have so many options to choose from, or not.

    Jim,

I recently had a BA conversation concerning the upcoming Victory Harvest Ale. I do indeed prefer beer to be packaged in 12 ounce bottles vs. big bottles. I also prefer that those 12 ounce bottles come in 6-pack holders vs. 4-pack holders.

    I concluded that conversation with:

“I am a BIG fan of the beer that Victory makes. I am not a big fan of some of their other operational decisions.”

    Cheers!

    Jack

I passed on the Q for $8 just on principle (and the fact that I still have some Oracle/Mars/Mosaic Promise to drink).
