How much are the Crooked Stave's going for? Would love to try them.
Out of the breweries in this thread, we've seen Troeg's recently, which is awesome and expected.
We've seen Knee Deep out of nowhere and they've been accessible and decently priced (no Hoptologist in CLT for $5 though).
AleSmith is in the Triangle but nowhere else. Lucky to grab them when in Durham and from a friend (Speedway, IPA, Extra, Grand Cru).
Still waiting, but Firestone Walker has to be coming soon. They continue to expand capacity and are in VA. There's a few others reaching SC and nearby states that should make it here within a year or so.
Deschutes and Odell are still years away IMO, but who knows.

I saw Williamsburg Alewerks at Bestway. I did not realize they had made it to NC. Anyone have any information?

Actually, some of it has made it to the Triad now. Beer Co. in Greensboro released some at 5 pm yesterday, but I'm not sure if it was distributed or if they had to go get it.

Can't wait for some fresh Furious to be on the shelf.

Is that going to happen soon??

Yep - made it to Charlotte, too! Just picked up an AleSmith IPA bomber for $6.99 at Harris Teeter of all places, bottled 10 days ago!
AleSmith needs to stop doing 22s - just can 16 oz of IPA, Extra Pale Ale, and the rest of the main lineup. Stick with 750s for the Belgians and Speedways and other specialty.

I reckon I should buy some AleSmith. I had the brown ale at a bar in Hillsborough during the world cup and it was wonderful. But i've yet to buy any.

I was excited to see Alesmith IPA bombers at Cotswold Teeter myself but was immediately bummed when I saw the bottled date. It was quite old. I don't remember the date but I know I shook my head and put it back. Glad to hear there are fresh ones floating around tho!

As in Surly Furious? that would be awesome.

Gosh, hope I didn't have a brain fart and screw up on dates. Hoping I saw 9/13 and not 8/13. I'd be fine with 8/13 but was expecting super fresh.

Considering Surly has enough problems supplying the Minnesota and Chicago, I doubt they'll be expanding all that much soon, even though they're opening another brewery. At the moment Minneapolis is complaining that you can't get Furious that was brewed in the last month and they cancelled Wet this year because they didn't have production line time to brew it. I'd love to see it in NC as it means I wouldn't need to schlep it back for my friends when I go up to MN, but I doubt it'll happen anytime soon...

According to distro guys, Surly is still slated for 2014, what, where and what kind volume was still being negotiated. I doubt it will be ltd release stuff, buit I'm hoping for Furious at least.

Would love for that to be true. General consensus is that Furious isn't what it once was (isn't that true for most hyped hoppy beers these days?), but I still love drinking it. I'm not a huge fan of Coffee Bender, but regular Bender and Cacao Bender? That's some good stuff.

This rumor has been floating around for some time, since Surly just got to Chicago last spring, and they can barely keep up with demand in MN, now Chicago, I just don't see it happening. Best way to get Surly at a decent price is France44.com, Furious is malty and has been for an ipa for sometime, Abrasive however is just amazing and I was only able to get 8 cans last winter, the winter before I was able to get 5 cases from January to April.

Furious was nearly a drain pour for me.

Abrasive on the other hand...I'd cut off a nun's nuts to get that on a regular basis.

Ive ordered from france 44 many times. Love Furious, but it's a piney resinous bitter IPA, Abrasive is a phenomenal brew.
