Same here. IPA is not a favorite style. I don't like the hyper citrusy hopped up taste everyone is chasing. I can enjoy a few, though. Locally, Summit Saga is enjoyable. But, I can't take Surly Furious. So, I'm definitely out of step with a lot of members here. I can live with that.

Lagunitas IPA + Sucks were the first two I really enjoyed, now it's the style I probably have most often.

Harpoon IPA. Still an ok default beer if nothing else is on tap.

Two hearted. Drank a six along with other stuff while fishing in the U.P. over 10 years ago. Made the next day pretty hard = first IPA headache. Tried it again a month or so later in less quantities and never looked back. First big IPA was 90 minute, which I also didn't care for - only one that time. Now, my purchases are probably 90 percent IPA/APA or more.

DFH 90 on tap in a smelly bar, what a fantastic beer though. I haven't had one in awhile; it's very easy to forget about it with all the great options out there. This thread makes me want to go out and grab a 4 pack. Thanks!

This. Hops were starting to grow on me by the time I finally tried Sucks, but they were still leaving me with a terrible aftertaste I couldn't get over. Know after buying and drinking all the sucks I could find last season I am a full blown hop head.

I remember Goose Island IPA being the first one I tried about 8 or 9 years ago. Though I like it now, I remember not being a big fan of hoppy beers until I was out of college. The beer that actually got me into IPA's a couple years later was Ska's Modus Hoperandi. Its still a beer I really enjoy today.

dfh 60 minute, about 2 years ago. it was really bitter for me at the time, so i wouldn't say i enjoyed it immensely, but i was intrigued by the flavours that beer could have

I had tried a few that were interesting, but I'll never forget that beautiful autumn Sunday. Sitting on my couch, watching football, pouring my first Stone IPA, and saying out loud to myself, "wow, this is f*cking delicious."

Harpoon IPA in 1995. Then Dogfish 60, 90, 120 and off to the races! Sad though, I haven't had any of these in quite some time.

Two Hearted, Harpoon IPA, and one of Stone's Enjoy By IPA. After having those three I was sold. Definitely took me awhile, though. I used to hate IPAs up until about a year ago.

Harpoon for me. Tried a Commodore Perry back in college and didn't like it, so I never gave IPAs much of chance after that. Bought a Harpoon variety pack and when all that was left was the 4 IPAs, being a broke college kid, I couldn't let the beer go to waste. Turns out the style I thought I didn't like, was my favorite of them all.
