I recently had Crooked Stave St. Bretta (Winter), and it was overly Sour! So much so, that I wasn't getting much else from the beer making it very one-note. That being said, I really enjoy the Summer, Spring, and Fall versions.

Squatters Fifth Element, Ithaca's Cran Bretty and a beer @cavedave shared with me. Dave was that called the aristocrat by peekskill?

Upland Raspberry, 2011 Cascade Apricot, Sour in the Rye all three are about as sour as it gets.

I had a 2007 BFM Bon Chien a year ago and it was intensely sour. Had to kill my palate with the first few sips to start enjoying it.

Ever had a five year old Cascade Kriek? It'll kick you in the teeth and punch you in the jaw.

Green Man - Maceo has to be the sourest of the sour. I will go on record saying that the Green Man Snozzberry is also extremely sour

I'll second the Red Poppy, though it varies - one I had was bone-dry & puckeringly sour, the next less so. And Alamanac, too - their Dogpatch Sour is maybe the sourest I've had.

Hanssens Oude Kriek. Haven't had anything close to that level of sourness except maybe Upland Peach, and no it is not the best sour I've had. Acidity isn't the defining factor of how good a beer is to me.

Best sour I've had is probably 3F Golden Blend or Fou Foune. Or maybe Cuvee Des Jacobins or Atrial Rubicite. Depends on my mood, I guess.

Bear Republic's Tartare got me pretty good. Bruery has some close ones though.

Love to try Fou Foune someday to see how that competes.

Tartare was incredibly sour, 2nd that one. Tartare Rouge wasn't nearly as sour and I liked it a bit more.

Cran-bic is an awesome beer! Sweetness really balances out sour. Like it better than the R&D Peach this year. NG is really killing it with the funk!
