Last year I found it in November in Burlington. I doubt it will last that long this time around. That beer was a tropical fruit dank bomb even at 2 months.

I remember the straight Otter Creek Imperial IPA as a beer way ahead of its time. About 5 years ago maybe, I Had several of these and a few with some (gasp) age, and they were all damned good.

Ack! Is that the price? Happy to try it at that price, but increasingly...I think I'm going to stick with Little Sumpin Sumpin, Wachusett Larry, Limbo and other stuff I can get under $10 a six.

IMHO Kind Ryed was the best of 'em. But they were all really good beers. Otter Creek has really stepped up their game in the past couple of years.

Found the last 4 pack In killington this weekend (paid 19 bucks) earthy, hoppy, grapefruity,,,just a good strong vermont IPA similar to many of the great double ipa's comming out of vermont these days. Not sure what the reason they set this price so high? Although it sold out in virtually ever shop in one day I don't understand the price point? Could only piss folks off. ( my 2 cents)

I think my area will be getting this, but like a lot of us, I need to budget my "beer money" wisely.

For those that have had it, are there any other widely-available DIPAs that it compares to?

Last year it was comparable to fresh Dirt Wolf circa 2013.

Hey folks, there's been some chatter regarding pricing of Double Dose this year. For the record here is OCB's and LFL's official stance on pricing:

On the heels of last year’s release, we have reduced the wholesale price of Double Dose IPA and established a suggested retail cost in the range of $13.99-$14.99 per 4-pack (plus tax and deposit). We took to heart the feedback we received through various media and this year we have taken the unprecedented step of reducing our wholesale cost to distributors in the hopes of making this special treat more friendly on your wallet. After all, it’s about the beer.

    Mike @ OCB
