This is why you don't put Cantillon into a new fridge...

So my brother's landlord just replaced his old fridge (Ironically, it wouldn't stay cold) with a new one. I put my bottles in and woke up to Cantillon ice this morning. It was only set on the middle cold setting... The corks blew out, slush spilled everywhere and the rest froze solid. Sad welcome home for me! I know it's not likely, and most likely common sense, but if you get a new fridge give it a test run and make sure it's not defective and getting too cold. :slight_frown:

Oh shit. If it feels better, I've had plenty of great beers get accidentally frozen. ALL were delicious when consumed right away. Thaw those bad boys and have a party! Cheers!

I got away a lot lighter than you did! I had some Fou Foune in the fridge when this happened.

aaand they're ruined. My fou foune has zero carbonation, is cloudy as hell and tastes like someone dumped a glass of extra water into the bottle. I was holding out hope for them. jklfdajklfwakl

Life lesson: always run a new fridge for a day or so with a thermometer in it before you put anything else in. Always.
