    Grabbed this out of the cellar. Not sure if age improved it but it has held up certainly. Heat that I recall is gone - quite smooth. Cheers all!

    Every thread could use a Bjork song, right? :wink: One of my favorites of hers anyway. I only vaguely remember seeing the sugarcubes in '88 at the cabaret metro in my HS years. Life's too good. I feel old right now.

    Rochefort 10 tonight, first time I've tried it. For me, St. Bernardus Abt. 12 is the state of the art for quads, but R10 was really nice, especially as it warmed up a bit. Big nose, sweet and lots of dark fruit. Taste follows suit. Very little carbonation. A little hot at first (11.2 ABV, but who's counting?), though the alcohol was much less noticeable as it warmed. Still think I prefer St. B, but nice to have a little variety in the fridge when the I get the hankering for a quad.

    Day 7 of Oktoberfest and into my 7th different offering

    Caramel sweet upfront with spicy hop halfway through followed up with more tea-like sweetness. As the beer warms, I pick up more toasted malt and grains. Light bodied and smooth drinking.

    Not too shabby.

    At least I didn't say the heady is like a week old...but in all seriousness I'm grateful to a generous BA that gave me the chance to try Susan. Absolutely a world class ipa.
