    HUH?

One of these days I won't have like 8 boxes in the process of being built/sent out, and i'll get a growler your way. Barring your objection to it, I'll get your info from Mike.

While on that topic, I give Mike my permission to give out my address to anyone involved in any past or present round of this BIF. Not saying I expect anyone to ninja bomb my porch, but no need to wonder if I'm ok with my address being given out to this group.

I don't do much special for growlers, ton of electric tape on the top, lots of bubble wrap, and it's all the more important to make sure the box is snugly packed so the 6 pound wrecking ball inside doesn't slam into other bottles. I usually pack them while they're still cold but by the time they get to FedEx they're warm. Ideally a growler never gets to room temp, so the longer it's cold the better (same goes for receiving one, get it in the fridge asap).

My one original idea: In the case of swingtops I use a ziptie to handcuff the cage in place before I do the electric tape, still need the tape to prevent gas/liquid seepage, but this is a more assured way of preventing the swingtop from swinging open.
I mean, no, it doesn't really go like that. I'm a pretty big dude with a well-developed tolerance, so doming a bomber of a 10% DIPA will just barely get me a buzz. If I'm drinking lighter fare, it'd take 4 or 5 12oz bottles to get me there. With that said, I rarely have as much as that during the week, let alone more. Ergo, I'm not 'getting drunk', I'm 'having a beer or two'. On the weekend I might drink more than that, but then it winds up being so spread out (unless I'm out at an event of some sort) that I still rarely get beyond a buzz even if I wind up going through 2 or 3 bombers in a day.

Ha, yeah that probably wouldn't be a good idea to get loaded the day before running a marathon! Unfortunately the even is on Saturday afternoon so that won't work. Are you heading back home on Sunday night or Monday?

They are after me as well! I am in the process of resolving this thanks to a little copy & paste from @Lehighace06 post..

Things happen. The box I sent to @rspauldi last week had a bottle cap pop off a beer. Technically, nothing "broke", but he was down one beer. Like @jawas said, you can pack all you want but if the shipper drop kicks the box off the truck, not much you can do about that.

That is so cool! Very much looking forward to it! Of course, Mike can give you my address. I think, at his point, quite a few people in the group already have it!

I did that once (not on purpose, but it does not matter) and it was a very rough race. I am heading home Monday, so, I am free to enjoy my Sunday night!

What was the total count involved in this round? Was it still at 34 or did we have any changes?
