Who said that?... Don't make assumptions...
The problem here is that they are selling a "Lite" beer at a higher price than damn near every alternative out there.
I can buy a 12-pack of Founders All Day IPA for the same price as 6 of these. Why?

Uhh, you did, essentially, by suggesting that a session IPA was per se a style not to fuss over.

It's a session IPA. There's nothing unique about it, except for the excessive price. Not to mention it's getting distribution...
I understand standing in line for a unique one-off, but not this. Would you stand in line for an amber ale? Doubtful...

You seem to be having a little trouble with reading comprehension today. My problem is not that he believes Founders All Day IPA is a better value proposition. I drink that beer with regularity for the very same reason. My annoyance is the totally smug stereotypical beer fan's opinion that one must produce a beer in a totally WHALEZ BRUH style for it to have any worthiness of excitement. I have had quite a few low ABV hoppy beers that I would take over plenty of so-so gigantic barrel aged stouts any day. People often lose track of it, but in many instances it takes more skill as a brewer to produce an interesting low alcohol beer then it does something with high gravity and lots of adjuncts. But such is this forum.

I don't need to stand in line for Yum Yum. It's available on the shelf at my local liquor store. But, I am happy to see it there, and I'm happy to purchase it. Yes, it is more expensive than some other comparable beers of that style. But, it is not drastically so. If you enjoy the Founders just as much, then by all means, knock yourself out. While it's totally legitimate to use price is an important criterion when picking out a beer, there are also plenty of folks who are interested in trying new things, and choose based on what they enjoy more than what it costs. If you don't like the price of Yum Yum, don't buy it. To me, it is not selling for a higher price than the session IPA offerings from Firestone or Stone, so I don't find it offensive, even if there are some lower-priced alternatives.
