Have you tried Small Batch Liquors? They were supposed to release some today, and they've only been open an hour, so you should still have a shot.

Apparently Tipsy's has a few left but there's a limit of 1 which they won't tell you about until you drive all the way out there. So fuck 'em.

I grabbed the Gozu instead. My exact words to the guy "Thanks but not really my favorite. Save it for the guy who likes it."

In my experience at Argonaut, it really depends on the employee you talk to. Once when I inquired about a beer I'd heard had arrived, the guy walked into the back to check and came out and told me they didn't have it yet, even though I could see it sitting on the shelf behind the double doors. I wandered off sort of dumbfounded, made a lap around one of the beer islands, crossed paths with the guy who had just told me no, flashed an evil grin at him, and found someone else to ask, who happily brought a bottle out for me. I'm sure they just want to make sure their regulars get taken care of, and I can understand that, but it sucks being flat out lied to.

Yeah, they did this shit with me last year with Backyard Rye. I can promise that since that time, I spend about 1/10th as much there as I used to.

There's one guy in particular that I can think of that doesn't have a clue about what he's doing. I've overheard him tell people that they're out of a certain beer, while I'm literally looking at it on the shelf. Aside from him, I've actually had many great experiences with the other guys there.

That is probably true more often than not. In my case, I asked a guy if they had any Backyard left, he said no. So I asked for some coffee. As he was grabbing it, another person came in, found another guy, asked if they had Backyard, and said yeah I'll go grab it. When the guy who gave me the coffee saw the other guy walking out with the Backyard, he shot that employee a really nasty look like "WTF are you doing?" I didn't say anything and just moved on, because I figured I'd snag a Backyard elsewhere, but I let my wallet do the talking since then. I know I know, *cool story bro*, but that just rubbed me the wrong way and although I probably should let it go, it always influences where I spend (way too much) on beer.

Cascade (The Vine, Strawberry & Raspberry) & Russian River (Pliny, Consecration, Sanctification) were at Small Batch as of this morning's release, I figure at minimum the Russian River will hit around town.

BTW, BA Abraxas lasted a little over an hour which is extremely surprising. And it was awesome. Rumor has it only keg in CO. We'll see, CSA tap takeover again at 3pm at FRTH from what I've heard.
