If it succeeds then more power to you!

As for Midas Touch I've always wanted to try that ever since I heard of it a couple of years ago. I read an article about it, and I think it was one of those defining moments that triggered my interest in US micro beers. I just wish DFH beers were still available over here :slight_frown:

Good luck! Don't stay off the sauce for too long though - you need to maintain your performance levels ahead of Belgium.....

In other news, I'm now on Crouch Vale's Amarillo - hopulicious!

Had that at the Cask, Pimlico a few months back

Good hoppy stuff for a (late 4% ABV from memory) cask ale!

Yeah I was really very lucky when I first started drinking beer properly at the end of 2010/start of 2011 I had just watched that US documentary with DFH in it so when I went on BoE for my first beer order I was able to grab some of what must have been the last DFH in the UK! Midas Touch (wasnt cheap at a £4.29 per bottle though) Palo Santo Marron (again £4.99 each) 90 Minute IPA (£3.79) and Festina Peche. Plus because I wasn't a beer counter then I got a few bottles of each. After trying a 90 Min though I really regretted giving the other to my dad :slight_frown:

Yeah, I imagine the cask version might be better. This is nice, with lots of fruity hop notes, but spoiled by diacetyl. Not bottle conditioned.....

Now I remember why I don't drink Blue Moon. This is so bland bar loads to much coriander on the aftertaste it's disgusting. Pouring down the sink now. What next, SN Torpedo IPA or Buxton Moor Top?

still recovering from a weekend in NYC- hit Brooklyn Brewery and then decammped to a couple of other bars until 4am, drinking a variety of German and Sixpoint beers. Sweet Action is my new go-to- definitely shipping a few cans back as well as as many 21st Amendment cans of 'Allies win the War' and 'Bitter American'...

Which bars did you make it to in Manhattan and Brooklyn?

nowhere particularly beer-centric, I'm afraid- I was with 3 girls who weren't really beer-drinkers, so I used-up my good will points at the Brooklyn Brewery! still some decent soft pretzels, good german beers and an amazing rooftop view of Manhattan, so I was happy!

I try not to mix beer and girls, they rarely complement one another

yeah, two of the girls were single, so I spent most of the night sitting in the background while they pursued various douchebags and miscreants.

So, you weren't tempted to hit the dance floor and play some air bass then?

I'm not sure anyone would've got it! I would've looked like a mentalist... Off out to Philly for Mexican tonight, but for now I'm munching a good Camembert and eye-ing up a Sixpoint Resin in the fridge...
