Ok, I'm new to this forums. I son just broke my favorite Tulip glass. So I got the opportunity looking for the new collection. I use this for sours, stouts, IPA's and everything in between.

After spent half day on internet, the Spiegelau Beer Connoisseur Set looks really good. It has four types of glasses, and the best deal I can find is from http://uniigifts.com/spiegelau-beer-connoisseur

Anyone has this set? any recommendation is welcome.

    Cheers!

I highly recommend the Spiegelau stuff. I have their IPA and Stout glasses and they're awesome. Also look into the TeKu a nice stemmed glass made by some italians.

I rock a beer can glass, a SA perfect pint, and a tulip, depending on the beer. The perfect pint works for everything, really, but the beer can glass is very underrated.

That Spiegelau IPA glass is awesome. I can't remember where, but I've enjoyed IPAs out of that style on a number of occasions.

I have the craft beer set from Libbey ... it's perfect for me. I accidentally broke the craft pint, and found a replacement at Bed Bath & Beyond. (Don't know if you have those in Ontario.) The only place I found that I could buy the glass individually to replace it in my set. Everyone else was selling them in a four pack.

I've found that a nice, wide-mouthed red wine glass and a nonic pint will cover you for pretty much anything. Although, a lot of the beer glass sets have tulips, so that might be best for your glassware-comfort-zone

And as many have said in this thread and others, the Sam Adams perfect pint is ideal

The approach of a true beer advocate! I've got at least 20 glasses....

I like the look of a nice ale in a pilsener glass (horrors... an ale in a lager glass!). The tall, slender glass just shows off the beer, I think.

I enjoy just about everything from my snifter (from Breaker Brewing in PA)... I think it looks classy too. Wife has some nice stemless wine glasses that I use occasionally.

I use a Reidell Cabernet wine glass for a lot of my beers. Plenty of room for the beer to breath.

I would recommend this set instead since it includes the IPA glass: http://www.amazon.com/Spiegelau-Tas...176222&sr=8-3&keywords=spiegelau+beer+glasses

I have some Spiegelau glasses and absolutely love them, but they are pretty fragile. I enjoy drinking from them, but because they are fragile, I don't use them all the time. That fragility - to me they seem so thin they give the impression you are holding the beer in your hand and the glass isn't even there - OK, that's my weird comment for the week (maybe). They aren't cheap, that is for sure, so breaking one is zero fun.

I have a set of stemless big snifters that I got from WalMart that were inexpensive, durable as heck, they are hard to tip over, and they seem just fine for stouts and big beers, IMHO. Every day use? I like the Sam Adams pint glasses, and have several nonic type pints.
