Hotwire and Priceline are great tools for staying in cities. Pretty hard to end up at a bad place if you play the game correctly.

Renaissance Hotel it is, for me, too, thanks to Hotwire! Can't beat $128 a night plus fees. That reservation at Renaissance for $470 looks way better than the one I had at Seaport, for $887!

Something else to look into ... the hotels at the airport tend to be less money on weekends. I've stayed at the Hilton Logan; they have a shuttle to the Blue Line or you can use a pedestrian link to the airport terminal and catch the Silver Line which goes to World Trade.

They aren't going to be less than what these guys are booking the Renaissance for, and none of them are as nice or as close to the WTC (or to Harpoon and Trillium). I used to live in Southie, and had my wedding reception at the WTC/stayed at the Seaport. When we need to stay in town now, The Renaissance is my first choice for location/price/quality.

    I feel your pain =/

After I booked, I went back to the page to see if the numbers changed, and I saw it at 269 as well.

Hmm Renaissance is showing at 242 right now and thats what hotwire says before cutting it to 169. Wonder if its the same hotel

I should say, it changed to 169 after I booked on Hotline. So still not a bad deal, but it also said that 8 people had booked the deal in the last 24 hours, so they are selling lots of rooms.

Right now it says "Book soon! The last person got the Seaport Boston Hotel."

With the 'Pet Friendly' tag it has on it right now, at $173/night, it is most likely either Seaport or the Westin maybe...

Any suggestions on parking other than the $46 a day valet parking at Renaissance?

Same here....just booked on hotwire - based on price I thought I was going to get the Renaissance hotel based upon price ($242 rate), which would have been fine since I stay mostly at Marriott properties for points, but ended up being at the Seaport Boston Hotel. Hotel across from the venue? I'll take that.
