    My brother-in-law stopped by the brewery and picked up a bottle of their newest release. Absolutely delicious citrusy Rye IPA named after one of the brewers who created it. Another home run for Hoppin' Frog!

    I was going to head down on release Saturday and didn't

    Did your BIL go on release weekend or more recently? Maybe I'll have to take a little trip.

    No, he didn't go to the release. He just stopped by maybe Wed. or Thurs of last week.

    Really one of the underrated breweries. Hoppin Frog, if placed in a barren, hard-to-get-to place with a limited supply, would be a top 5 brewery. I had a BA BORIS the other night that could easily compete with a BCS.

    IIRC, this initially will be brewery only, but that it may see distribution later this year. (Been awhile since I read anything on it, so I may very well be mistaken.)

    That seems to be the plan with most of their beers these days - release it like it's limited, and whether it is or not, still eventually put it into distribution.

    They distributed (through OH at least) Royale, BA Naked Evil, BORIS 100, etc so I'd almost guarantee this makes the rounds eventually.

    Had one last week, it was mighty tasty and should be in my rotation regularly this summer. The turbo shandy they recently released is a great summer brew as well, although it's more of a sugar kick in the palate.

    It's retired now, but it was one of my lowest reviews ever. Straight cough syrup.

    That said, I agree that everything I have had from their recent releases/normal lineup is top tier. I'm weary of trying the Shandy though.

    As am I. Thats the one that I dont wanna pay their exorbitant bomber price for. If they sold it at cheap 12 oz prices, I d buy it in a heartbeat.
