I think the curiousness has more to do with the fact that a lager isn't a session ALE

Oh, I got that. I was just pointing out that many of the beers listed in this thread were not SESSION ales!

He was pointing out the second word; I was pointing out the first word.

Griffin Claw's Norm's Gateway IPA. Really similar to All Day but a nice change of pace.

Fresh 15-packs of Founder's All-Day IPA are my favorite session ale. The hop punch is there, and drops off just as quickly as it came. Really nice clean finish. 3 or 4 of those can disappear in a very short time frame.

While not my favorite session beer, Green Flash Citra Session is my favorite session IPA and nudges out Founder's All Day.

    Hi,

    first post.

Thanks for this thread! I'm always looking to try ales with low alcohol content and I think I have a ton of them to try from this thread!!!

I've like to ask one question though, somebody mentioned Tetleys (3.6%) which I like and it's easy to find in New York. From that particular style (Boddingtons, Old Speckled Hen, ...) could you recommend me more of them that are in that 3.5% or so world? (Even less alcohol would be great for me!)

BTW, for Malvrich, I just tried this weekend Goose Island Honker's Ale. Enjoyable, but for that style of beer It has more hops (or wherever the flowery smell comes from, sorry I'm not an expert, I only brewed once...) compared to the brands above. If I want that type of beer, I don't like it too IPAish... but I don't have a great taste neither LOL! :stuck_out_tongue:

And, last comment, don't know the alcohol content, but once I spent one month in Chesire, UK, recording some music, and I had one or two Greenall's after the lengthy studio session of each day and that tasted like heaven!!!

    Thanks,

    Regards,
    Hipo

I pick up a case each year when we pass through Lancaster with the family. Truly excellent beer. I actually quite enjoy that brewery in general

Most are cask only and in England. Sadly I'm Stateside. Here, Mamoot Mild (3.8%) and bottled Timothy Taylor Landlord (4.1%) when I can get fairly fresh bottles. Them be real session beers...

Best session IPA I've had was Steel Toe Size 4 by a long shot. Hope they bring it back again. My current favorite session ale is Founders Mosaic Promise. 5.5 is still sessionable for me. Summertime I can't get enough New Glarus Berliner Weiss and DFH Festina Peche.
