The Locals HINTS AND HAULS THREAD

Ive been swamped to keep up with hints, but I have my 1st box packed up, just have to go back and look at the ratings cause the BA website was spotty at best when I was filling it up. But I must say some of the SNJ, Philly Breweries need to get more love on the rating side of things, some pretty decent brews sitting with 85-86 ratings. Tomorrow a friend and I are hanging out at Cape May Brewery to see what they have on tap that might go into a growler.

 

Hint#1: I'm shipping north east
Hint#2: My target has more trades than I do, my target also has more points than I do
Hint#3: my target's state is home to someone who many consider one of the greatest rappers of all time

Hint#4: My box current contains two Triple IPAs. Both brewery release only, one that my target has (probably) never heard of and one that is a relatively recent addition to my target's Wants

 

I might buy it for 12 a fill, but at 30+ for a 64oz. Not that good imo.

However its Beer **** time!

That box looks yummy! Just got my first raspberry truffle abduction a couple weeks ago.. great beer!

 

This one,I think, is a regular Abduction. Very excited about it as I never had one before.

 

Never have either, only the raspberry so far. My passion fruit abduction exploded

 

Sorry to hear. I think the cherry one is up now. Cherry and stout should make for a beautiful marriage.

So I spoke too soon when I said I've never had a problem with boxes being delivered with me not present. Box from @kgncfl was jacked from my doorstep tonight and I'm pretty bummed about it. Not sure there's much I can do, but I'll be redirecting all shipments to fedex/ups offices from now on.

 

Hint # ??? (I'm too drunk right now to go back and find my old posts): I just got a ~17% brew that has only been brewed (allegedly) three times to throw in your box.

 

This is sad news indeed. I can't believe people exist out there who would do something like this. This really does bum me out as well, and I didn't lose any beer. Sad to think that you probably won't see that box...

 

On an unrelated not to the missing beer box, I am super happy to see the spread and distance gained by PW beer. I really enjoyed both their base and the cherry truffle adjunct. I think Pipeworks is doing some remarkable things, and they just re-released their Square Grouper, DIPA in collab with 4 Hands, made with honey. It's their highest rated BA beer and understandably so. If anyone is interested in getting to know PWs and wants to experience this beer, let me know and I will send you a bottle and we can work something out. I believe in this brewery and have stood by it since batch #7, now on #516.

 

I've only heard how good Square Grouper is. I'd love the opportunity to try it.

 

That's just terrible. Probably some asshat who stole a random box rather than someone targeting your beer. Sorry about that dude.

 

Just put back a mint truffle abduction tonight here with a buddy..prefer the perennial 17 to the mint truffle but was tasty...I really enjoyed the coffee break.

I'm definitely ISO everything from Pipeworks. I got a bottle of Easter Bunny vs Unicorn back in the spring and am still sitting on it (it looked like it warranted some age), but that's the only thing from them I've ever seen. Between the Abduction series and the Ninja and Unicorn beers they seem to have mastered both stouts and hops, not an easy feat.

That said, if I tried to do another box in addition to Locals 3 and 12 Days of Xmas (you guys should get in that thread, it's gonna be a good one and is filling up quick) I would be massacred...

The problem is I'm also massively ISO Revolution, I've had Anti-Hero and am sitting on a bottle of Straight Jacket, but again that's it for me (and Anti-Hero is now a permawant).... I might have to get an Illinois box in my life. Let me think on it, do some planning for the boxes I'm already sending out, and I'll get back to you.
