The Locals HINTS AND HAULS THREAD

Hint #1: Shipping to a state that is smaller than mine in both land mass and population
Hint #2: The last three straight BIF boxes that I have shipped out have all gone to the same state. This BIF will break that streak.
Hint #3: My target state is one timezone away from me.
Hint #4: My target state begins with a consonant.

Content hint: I may or may not have seen @cultclassic89 standing in line Friday morning trying to get some more of the booty he has been speaking of. If so, he got there early enough to get more than me but I still got enough to include some of the goodness in my box as well. I'm sure my target will treasure it.

 

I have my list narrowed down to 5 people now to be my sender. Waiting for another round of hints..hopefully I shall know then.

Also, more ****.

 

I mean, can't you tell that's the Fort Worth Ren Faire? GOD, everybody knows that.

 

I just started packing my box(es??) tonight.

Newest hint: my box is headed to a state that borders a Great Lake or ocean. I think that only eliminates one person after my other hints.

 

Made a trip to Central Waters today to get a certain beer that comes between 15 &17 for my targets box....

 

Well...now either that's coincidence, or I was right when I had my sender down to 2 people...Because it just so happens the beer that sits between 15 & 17 on my wants list is central water bourbon barrel aged barley wine.

 

Hmmmm I reckon my first hint said I was shipping West....?

 

Wow thats crazy.

 

A little less crazy considering CW has a beer named 16 (sorry for the 'spoiler'), and as a brewery whose name starts with a C, it stands to reason a Want from there would be toward the beginning of your list (given it's sorted by brewery); all in all though, that is pretty coincidental.

 

That Easter Bunny was the first PW I had but might be my favorite. It will probably be pretty different than when I had it fresh but it was like a hop bomb wheat wine in the best way possible. Raspberry Truffle Abduction and the most recent BA Jones Dog were awesome as well.

 

Had the CW BBA Barleywine tonight. Another ridiculously tasty beer from them. Looking at Untappd, I had 274 different beers in the last 4 days, including a ridiculous number tonight at Dr Bill's tasting at Falling Rock, and I can still remember the CW BBA Barleywine clearly...

 

Yeah -- I was incommunicado yesterday, and like to run through any interesting checkins to toast -- I think I'm gonna have to upgrade to a mainframe to handle all your checkins...

 

So I added SOME Pipeworks stuff to my wants -- you posted about them, and coincidentally the other BIF mentioned by @Lehighace06 seems to have a lot of Illinois representation. I know I'm not getting Illinois beer this round, but might as well prepare for next time...

 

SHIRTS AND GLASSES ETC

Hey -- this might be too late for some people, and irrelevant to a lot of others -- but for the shirt/glass part of this -- some people specified glassware as a preference, others specified a shirt -- if there was a PREFERENCE, that is clearly stated in the original target note. If it just has a shirt size listed, that does not necessarily mean they prefer a shirt -- it just means they gave me the shirt size (I asked for that up front), and didn't bother giving a preference (or don't care).

Do NOT spend a shitkilo of time looking for a shirt in the right size online, or special order something -- just go with glassware if you must. Thanks!

 

And lastly @Poorpatz is still in, just has been super busy at work. So while he hasn't been giving clues, he will be shipping beer. And that's the important part.

 

Hint #1 - shipping to a state that borders water
Hint #2 - shipping to a state that does not begin with a vowel
Hint #3 - my target's state is not the name of a Monopoly property
Hint #4 - while there are two senders in this BIF who share a first name with their target, I am not one of them.
Hint #5 - my target either participated in both of the prior two rounds of the Locals, or participated in neither
Hint #6 - my target is the only participant in this round from his state
Hint #7 - my target is the only person in this BIF with his first name -- I think knocks off one more candidate
Hint #8 - I get the impression my target might have already eliminated me as his sender, but I checked my clues and he should not have done so

Hint #7 should get me down to two possible targets

 

Hint 3b: my alma mater won their game last night against a a historically prestigious football university at home and stormed the field in celebration.

 

The state I am shipping does not have a MLS team. As far as t-shirts or glassware I prefer stemware or t-shirts that at soft/American apparel type. Cheers

To my target: Do not spend even CLOSE to a shitkilo of time looking for a shirt in my size, I am fully aware it is 99% not gonna happen. Fortunately I love glassware (especially if it is accompanied by #properbeer)


Finally, Hint #8ish - My target's state has a larger land area than mine. Did I do that one already? Ok, then, my target's state does not have an MLS team.

Hint #9 or so - I'm not sure these hints matter because my target has not posted very many of his own.
