Let's Talk Pumpkin...

Crown Valley Imperial Pumpkin Smash is available in TX? I just had a guy in STL extra me some, after he looked at seekabrew and saw we didn't get it. I'd never seen it before, but yeah that was delicious.

 

I also just got a couple as extras. I've been picking up pumpkin singles in Dallas the last few days, and never saw it. Maybe it's there though, in 4pack form.

 

For some reason it appears to be Austin only. I know Houston does not get it.

 

Specs in New Braunfels has it and Central Market in San Antonio might have it.

 

How much was Rumkin last year? I didn't remember it being this pricey

 

Close to $1/oz I think, maybe on the higher side

Yeah I haven't called around over there but I know some SA folks that couldn't find it. I did call around Houston for my brother eith no luck. Actually bringing him a few 4 packs today when I head up.

 

I think it was about $15 last year. I wanna say 10-12 for the first batch.

Enjoyed No Label's Nightmare on 1st Street last night. Really great pumpkin ale. Surprised me!! Haven't crazy about there recent releases, but this one is a must have if you can find it.

Also a big fan of Karbach's Krunkin Pumpkin.

Where? None of the specs are authorized to carry it and I called all the whole foods. Maybe some smaller places? My brother ended up loving it and will want more so any help would be great.

Will be trying the No Label Off Label Nightmare on 1st Street today while watching the Texans game.... this may be the first No Label beer I really like.. (ok.. the bourbon barrel beer I had from them once was pretty good too.... but their regular lineup and other seasonal just aren't worth paying for to ME..)

Update... the No Label was okish... wouldn't buy again. Just my opinion.

 

Already mentioned but I just finished an Almanac Heirloom Pumpkin. Really nice and unique, a barleywine base. It's not available locally but should be easy to trade for.

 

I picked up bottles of Rumpkin and PumpKYn in Denver this weekend. $11.99 each. Had the PumpKYn on tap at Avery as well, and like it a LOT better than Rumpkin. Might sit on a bottle and let the booze die down, because its HUGE, and 3 of us had to finish the glass.

 

When are Pumpkinator and Rumpkin out in Austin market? I haven't seen any. Both Pumking and CM Imperial Pumpkin Smash insofar are rocking the Fall-Halloweeny season.
