Loving the small town life. They will probably still have it tomorrow. 2 cases left as of 7pm.

It's good to see people on here actually helping others get a beer rather than bragging about their haul. Nicely done.

Went to East 1st Grocery this evening and they had a bottle... but refused to sell it to me unless I bought other beers. As I've bought probably close to $500 over the past year and a half, I happily walked out without it and never spending another dime there. Would like to try it... but looks like I'll be waiting for the next batch.

Any left in SA? My buddy was out of town over the weekend and got the notice from the Shell Station that it arrived while he was gone.

Why would this be cheaper in DFW? Favorite Brands is the same distributor for all of these markets. It'd be foolish of them to charge more for their product in one market than another.

I've heard (may be rumors) that the World Bottle Shop on lower Greenville is selling them for $25. Haven't checked it out but if so that is insane.

I was just going off of extra transport costs to get it from their warehouse in DFW to Austin and Houston.

I had one at The Bearded Lady in Ft Worth for $26. I saw it in their cooler and ordered it without asking the price thinking it would maybe be like $17 or 18. Yikes...

I've actually had several stores tell me I had to buy one of Prairies regular lineup if I wanted whatever special release they had at the time. Because they were told the same thing. So I wouldn't be too quick to judge the store in question on that one. However, saying that...as a store I would never ask my customers to do that. Nor would I buy beer that way. Ridiculous.

And that would be against TABC rules.

Kings on Berry tried that on the orange wax Bomb. Just because a distributor is imposing it on a store doesn't mean the store needs to impose it on their customers.

1st, if this did happen, surely you didn't walk out happy. More like pissed off I'd assume.
2nd, I know that Sam was outta town till Saturday and Ahmed took his place. I'd be very surprised if he pulled something like that but I'm sure Sam will pop on here soon and comment.

You can't force someone to buy something else to be able to purchase another thing. You cannot give "incentives" to buy certain things...or something along those lines.

I also emailed that question to a local beer store owner who said he is 99% sure that would be against TABC rules.

im interested in the actual verbage when you can find it. i can only find reference to wholesalers to retailers, but not a retailer to customer.
