Agreed. I mentioned it earlier, if anyone gets a bottle of Rum King, I'd take any extra off your hands, or just a sip when you crack it. (though might try to get to Bryant Lake in a couple weeks when they'll have it on tap.)

Some more info on the Hullabaloo and some of the beers and bands that will be there. Still no info on how they plan to release the Rum King though.

Anyone know how this event went last year? I'm hoping to be able to snag some Rum King, but also hoping to attend the Gophers game at 11 and not miss out on the brew. Decisions..

 

From the info looks like the event is at noon so you doesn't look good for doing both. I was having the same difficult choice and now will be listening to the game outside of Indeed.

Rum King was released on a Friday afternoon last year, not during Hullabaloo. I'm getting married on 10/11, so I won't be able to pick up bottles this year. Hopefully I can find someone who has one to get together and split bottles of 13 and 14.

 

Bottles will hit distro I was told. Limited though. Lots of kegs...

 

So bottles available for purchase at Hullabaloo and distributed to stores? Or just distro and on tap at Hullabaloo?

Racking the first of Rum King today in time for Minnesota Craft Brewer's Guild#ABR. One TBA sneak peak on Friday. Keep posted. Otherwise we release on October 11 during Hullabaloo. Bottles avail then too. Limit 2, then available at liquor stores starting Oct. 14. — at Indeed Brewing Company.

Does this event cost money? I looked at the website and couldn't find much. I have a newborn at home, so might be able to swing by and pick up some bottles, but if there's an admission fee I may just take my chances with distro.

 

I would be shocked if they charged money for it.

Also, I would think they would have an admission fee in the info at one of these two places. Don't expect to pay, except for the beer

Yep, I think so. With a 2 bottle limit and increased supply I expect that these might not sell out right away and if you come a little later you still may be able to get your hands on a couple. I base this on this event is supposed to last all day, increased supply of Rum King, and lower max bottle limit from last year.

I could be wrong, but I hope this won't sell out right away.
