One trading rule I've learned is that you never factor in the trouble you went (driving distance, overnight stays, Thunderdome battles) to get the beer. Comparing cost and case limits is fine and good, but I can assure you no one cares about how early you got up that morning.

Before this thread gets too....passionate, I think the answer to your initial question is the consensus is it's closer to 1:1 with maybe an extra local or two. It's an awesome beer that won't disappoint.

I, for one, NEVER get passionate over beer. I always keep an even keel. It's just beer. I ALWAYS keep my cool. Everyone who I have encountered on this forum, ahem, @buttesnake , ahem, will attest to this.

FfaC is ~6,700 bottles and $18, Mama Bears I'd have to guess is close to 5,000 bottles and $15 brewery only release. I'd say closer to 1:1. For Mama Bears I heard two pallets which I *think (someone correct me if I'm wrong here) is only 240 cases of 375ml 12per case, so it could be closer to 3,000 bottles...

No idea, but one thing is for certain there is more FfaC

That's not true, they raised $100,000 last year and it was $15 per bottle, making it ~6,660+ bottle release? 555+ cases?

This year they purposefully allocated enough for two weeks, so your "6 days" is incorrect.

14-days at ~40 cases per day = 560 cases = 6720 bottles which is in line with last year's release.

    At least that's my guess.

They told me the release night they had 2 pallets with 160 cases each. Maybe they stacked them high???

160 sounds right for a pallet of 375ml, I thought 240 for two sounded low. Still that's 3840 bottles compared to 6700?

Out of curiosity - is this long gone? I really enjoyed it, but was "all beer'd out" and didn't make it over the weekend.

Source said all sold out when I stopped in today. But for those not 'beered out' they had majority of gabf wk CS beers left on tap.

I was all beer'd out but looked in the fridge and have probably 30 beers in there. Remembered I have a trip to San Diego this weekend so it was no time to detox. Opened a growler of Jackie O's. Zero Fux given

Does anyone know if they're still selling Sour Cherry Pie at The Source?

Last I heard it was sold out. Think Batch 100 was still available.

No Mama Bear on Monday when I was at the Source. Crooked Stave was a zoo all weekend long, I hate to say it but it might be gone, gone. Hopefully it'll pop up around town, stranger things have happened...
