I'm still at 11... and the clues are slowing (including mine... I need to piece together another hint or two.)

BTW, while I have picked up several delicious brews from the region, including a few of the only regional wants my target has listed. However, my target might want to start adding some local wants to his list as his box is beginning to fill up with "I-think-he'll-likes."

I'm still around 10 also. My hints are pretty much done because I have narrowed it down to only two people. Once I ship I may tip off the receiver with a final clue.

 

I had 49 breweries on my list and hit them all in the first two hours at which point my brother said he needed to "slow down." I mean, there was no line for Goose Island which had BCBS, BCBCS, and Backyard. Later in the event, there was about a two minute line for ZD (with a much longer line earlier in the day). Plus all the great stuff from TG, NG, Funky Buddha, Wicked Weed, RR, on and on and on.

Hint: My target joined BA the same year as me.

 

I'm sitting at 9 possible senders. Being from a state with 3 others that are also in this BIF makes it a little more difficult.

Like a lot of others I enjoy keeping an overall spreadsheet and trying to predict sender/target pairs. I also like when you guys post how many possible senders you have left because then I can compare where I stand on my guessing. I realize that I will be off because some hints involve more specific information than what is displayed on this site (city, first names, etc) and I may/may not know that information based on past trading relationships. But anyway, it's fun game to play.

Hint #1: Shipping to a state that is smaller than mine in both land mass and population
Hint #2: The last three straight BIF boxes that I have shipped out have all gone to the same state. This BIF will break that streak.
Hint #3: My target state is one timezone away from me.
Hint #4: My target state begins with a consonant.
Hint #5: My target state has at least 1 NFL team.
Hint #6: My target participated in Round 1 of this BIF.

Hint 2: my target's state borders a body of water
Hint 3: my target's state was one of the original 13 colonies.
Hint 4: my target's state flag has 4 colors on it.
Hint 5: My target has one of the shortest usernames out of any of the participants

Plan to ship next week. Also, I have no idea who my sender is. It has been so busy at work I haven't been able to make a spreadsheet. Waiting for that one hint that'll give it away.

 

Got it, thanks! The only 'reciprocity' agreement I was aware of was with concealed carry permits... (oddly, I have one, but don't own a gun)

 

I fell way behind in keeping track, busy week at work and a busier weekend.... I hope to have time today to go back and get everything going.

Hint #10 My target's state is LARGER than mine... oh wait, I definitely used that one... hmmm.... My target's state has a larger bear population than mine.

 

If there is anyone out there who may still have me on their list (not sure if my clues have knocked a lot of you off) I'll give a big hint to most:
My target has not posted in the last two days.

 

Although I seriously doubt this is what the OP had in mind, there are reciprocity agreements for licenses to practice law among states. Probably not relevant to the clue though. Probably.

 

I'm normally pretty good at this, and have been "playing along", and based on the clues I'm pretty sure there are only two targets who can know their sender for sure. And I have 12 other senders who I have narrowed down to less than five possible targets.

As I was typing this I realized I had a couple of guys who each had two possible targets (I had it narrowed down to the state), and they were the same two guys. So... that means I can eliminate those two targets for everybody else. And those two targets have two possible senders each.

But there are 31 other people left, and I have between 6 and 15 possible senders for each. If I weren't running this, I'd go through some guesses and probably narrow some things down, but I'm not gonna do that. For example, while I understand the hints given by @kgncfl , I probably wouldn't understand them without the "answer key"

Also remember some people are shipping (or have already shipped) this week -- everytime a box is delivered, a few more pieces could fall into place.

 

Busy weekend for me. Working at the store. Running a 10 mile race. Cheering on marathoners. Drinking 1-8 beers yesterday with my best friend out from Cali. Now need to get this box going. A quick look at the wants list of my target I'm hoping to get atleast 6 wants off of there. The rest will be local goodness.

I guess it says something about the way I drive when I assumed the reciprocity mentioned was for the swap of DMV violations...

 

Well if you 'think' you know my sender, I can rule you out now too...

 

I could 'think' that it is me or I could 'think' it is someone else!

 

I'm curious, how many possible targets have my hints left us at? I don't really look at how many people a hint will eliminate, I just try to put in accurate but pretty vague hints and hope that they only eliminate a couple people at a time; but for all I know the first two once put together might have narrowed it down completely.
