Parabola in NY!?

NY's a fairly large state. What part are you talking about?

There's already a thread about the Buffalo/Rochester region. The verdict: there's a very, very limited quantity on the way in. Don't know about other regions, though.

 

Just wanted to say I picked mine up yesterday, along with some Wookey and Double Jack. And I live near Albany and we have some of the crappiest distribution of beer in the state, usually not getting stuff for two-three weeks after the rest of you. Not sure what the hold up is on your other areas.

 

Wookey Jack just hit WFM Bowery, according to their FB page. Hopefully that's an indication that Parabola is soon to follow.

 

Ours were two different shipments. Wookey on Weds, Parabola on Thursday.

 

Wookey is at both whole foods Bowery and new beer.

 

But no Parabola?

 

Said parabola would be at anytime

 

Has anyone seen Parabola on Long Island yet?

actually, just called and they have it in now...im leaving now...this is superstar in huntington...wookie jack should follow shortly

 

im back, parabola in hand....1 bottle limit, $16 or $17 before tax (i wasn't paying attention)

they another another beer by FW called "fruet" or "freut"....anyone hear of this? i think he said it was a BA ancient ale, wax dipped bottle....i can't find it online....it was $28, so a bit more than i was willing to pay for an unknown...with my luck, it's prob some super rare, amazing beer

That would be The Bruery's 4th anniversary; Fruet. Expensive, But supposed to be pretty delicious! You can find info about it on the main site.

thanks - looks tastey, but i think im glad i didn't spend $28 on it...hopefully i can find more parabola elsewhere and use the funds for that

 

Ugh wookey is probably gone from Bowery isn't it.

 

Stopped at the same shop. Parabola was actually $19.99 and fruit was $38...and of course I had to notice that they had sang noir too...ouch, my wallet hurts, but is nice and light.

 

the price difference is odd...same exact store, a few hours later...not sure the reason for that

 

in your original post you said you weren't paying attention so that could be it. not to mention on the fruet, seems like $38 is what it is going for, you were probably misquoted. different thing when you go to buy it.
