I guess it is safe to assume the Snopack has landed? Bad ass song. Used wonderfully in American Werewolf in London

What's up BA.. Dodgers are OUT of the playoffs.. So turning my attention to Hockey as tonight is KINGS banner night... First tho I'd like to give credit to the St. Louis Cards and the SF Giants... Seems like they're always in the mix.
Anyways , beer menu looks good for today.

@utopiajane kinda funny your buddy said no lagers lol I kno you love your lagers.. Y'all should make a dark hefe if that's possible (ingredients wise) or if you decide on making a regular hefe - filter the hell out of it till it's a krystalweizen..

I think it's too hard for the homebrewer to fix the fermentation temperature required for a lager. You need a fridge or some area that is cool and steady all the time. Then I am told that you have to be able to steadily lower the temperature to very cold below fridge temps for the lagering process. Ales on the other hand are easier.

Usually, I'm not the biggest fan of hoppin' frog. This however is pretty great!

(And yes, I am drinking the whole bottle myself, hence the big glass. Lol

The barrel aged one will kick anyones ass, try it if you can! 1 of my favs that made into kenosha. Not many stores i used to visit in IL carried them, but moving out here has given me the chance to try these great brews even though thats like all there really is to do around here lol

Right on, man! I've been in search of the barrel aged one but have had no luck finding it. And where are you at now? I'm in NE Ohio.

EDIT: whoops, I'm dumb. You mentioned Wisconsin lol. Must be that hoppin' frog has taken its toll!

The last of four beers I had last night. The lady and I apparently had the inclination to get a little stupid.

    This one was pretty underwhelming.

Enjoying the hell out of this imperial porter right now. Absolutely delicious with two years on it.

Lol that frog is starting to hop across your brain:wink:

I live in kenosha now. Half way point between Milwaukee and Chicago so some good stuff will make its way through here from both sides of the states plus other goodies.

There's things to do in Wisconsin, like drink beer, drink whiskey, drink tap water from Racine, and you can go hiking it's pretty nice north of Madison

I got over my snit about no golf today, and my wife and I went to York River Landing for lunch
To begin, my wife had Mikkeller Spontanmandarin, which she pronounced one of the better beers she's had.
I started with Goose Island The Muddy, another great beer.

I followed that great beer with another great beer, Long Trail 25th Anniversary.
A good day, drinking two great stouts.

Hehe, yes it is!! And that sounds like a nice place. Never been to Wisconsin myself. You really are LUCKY to live in a state with no alcohol limit on their beers. Here In stupid ohio, every single Damn beer is capped at 12% ABV or lower :slight_frown: . No sam adams Utopia for me. I heard they're voting for a higher limit this coming year and I reeeeeeeeally hope that it passes. I really am missing out on so many awesome beers because of this stupid law :slight_frown: . It literally makes zero sense to me why we have it in the first place ... because drunks buy liquor to get drunk, me personally, would just like to try some stronger brews.
