Yeah, I was thinking full score.

I like that it gives some certainty to how many boxes I'd have to send out; I think @Bjohnston makes a good point about the OP concept htiting 'early and often'... in the MLB 8 and 9 run games are somewhat a rarity; in the NBA the final digit is essentially a 10% shot at each, so you'll have someone 'win' on average every 10th game played by their team.

Another idea is to have the winner receive box(es) only from those with the fewest ticked numbers at the time of the win, then it resets. i.e. say I hit all 10 digits, and someone else has only gotten to 4, the rest of the crowd has between 5 and 9 of the digits ticked; that one person sends me a box. If 3 people are all at 4 and the rest are at between 5 and 9, then I get 3 boxes. If two people hit in the same night, split as needed, or some form of tiebreak.

By resetting it after a win, you only have someone win every 10-15 games or so, rather than on nearly consecutive days. This keeps boxes rolling out pretty often, but not as often as the OP idea; and from a lot fewer people per win, reducing the total number of boxes sent by each participant by season's end.

There is no way it will hit every 10 games. That would mean that one team would hit a distinct end digit every single game. Extremely unlikely. I do like @Bjohnston idea though. I am in favor of switching to that if everyone agrees.

EDIT: Went through the Knicks schedule from last year and it took them until January 13 to hit all 10 numbers, nearly half way through the season.

Ok, you're right, I didn't approach the math the right way the first time. After running the probability, it's actually only a 1 in 2756 chance that a team would hit this in 10 consecutive games... That said, I don't know that 41-ish games is typical either, but that's at least encouraging that it won't be a twice monthly occurrence for each team.

I'm in for which ever format you guys decide. I'm taking all the beer no matter what, so it's all OK with me .

    Really, doesn't matter to me.

Being a retired Air Force guy who spent many years working on F-111s, and haven gotten 2 chances to ride in one, the first team to score 111 twice will win a box of VA goodness.

Love that LIFs are already getting started and we only have 1/5 of the league filled.

So I just pulled up the first team on the list... The Atlanta Hawks... it took them 16 games to hit all 10 digits. I like the format of unique scores by X date BUT... have all teams played equal games by the All Star break? I guess it would be okay... if you play less in the first half, you'd play more in the second.

I'm in if I know I'll only have to send out one box plus how many ever I decide to with minis... I'm SUPER in if I know I won't have to send that box out until some time after mid season.

    FEAR THE DEER!!!!

Let's do the most unique scores by all-star break. Same teams for second half. This alleviates the issue of not playing exactly the same number of games. You might be at a disadvantage for the first half, but will have an advantage in the second half. Half of the group ships at all-star break, other half ships at end of season.

@hansenm72 sounds like you are in for the Bucks.

It sure sounds like a really dumb idea betting on the Bucks when you actually type it out but hell... what other team is going to knock out every one of the 70's? I'm in for the Milwaukee Bucks... one of only 17 franchises in NBA history to have won a Championship.

@Syracuse12 I just want to make sure after the above post that watching these games is not a requirement is it?? If so I'm definitely out.
