Gonna be at the Claremont this weekend. I know Barclay's isn't too far. Any good spots a little closer to the hotel?

Just take a taxi and go to Rare Barrel. Problem solved!

    Perhaps, but question not answered.

Trappist Provisions is probably the closest decent spot to the Claremont - if you ignore the Ikea-inspired decor and the stifling heat at the back on any warm day, it's a solid choice, if a touch on the pricey side (after all, it's the Trappist).

Ben 'N Nick's isn't too far. Usually a fairly good tap list. Usually have pliny flowing.

Barclays often has a solid selection (and pretty nice outdoor seating). They also usually either have Blind Pig or row2 on tap.

If you want to grab bottles (and provisions doesnt have what you are looking for), Star Market on Claremont has a pretty good selection.

And usually a buck or two cheaper too.

For taps, as above -- Trappist Provisions & Barclays would be my suggestions. Once you're down as far as Barclays it's a short BART ride into downtown, and your options are a lot better.
