might just have to drink one fresh and wait to do a vertical with a second beer. yeah yeah, a DIPA 11 months old might not be fresh, but I've had worse beer...

This will be a very polarizing beer. I bought one bottle out of skepticism and I enjoyed it but didn't love it. The apricot juice is the foundation and the vanilla helped round out the mouthfeel and finish. Hope this sticks around longer than Mars so people get a chance to give it a shot.

I drain poured mine, it was old and overly malty, bottled on 7/31 and it's just now hitting the shelf?

Yeah. Venus wasn't even bottled prior to this last week. So no chance you had an old Venus. Even still, Mars would still be good at less than 3 months old. Drain pour? I don't know what you tasted.

Just found Venus. Had to go to two stores but the 2nd one was selling singles only. That's fine, not sure I want more than 1.

My shop in South Lyon sold me a sixer of Venus, $13. I'm digging it, so far.

Mars wasn't bad but the Oracle is a much better DIPA from Bells. Mars was a bit of a hot mess.

Really hope that they continue to make Mars. Such a great beer, IMO. Have 6 left and excited to drink them but also sad to see them gone...

I dunno, I thought The Oracle batch was pretty poor this year. One can find plenty of better DIPAs for that price mark, too.

I'm pretty sure all this goodness/badness you guys are tasting with Mars and Oracle is just your individual palate.

I only bought one bottle myself. I did think it was a very good beer, but one was enough for me as well.
