Sure it was, just very little of it. The only one I was not able to get a bottle of to take home was Bramble Rye, but I did get a sample pour at Central City Tap House. Now there was not much of it in Kalamazoo, but it was around.

You might want to take that picture down before you get anyone jealous, mad, or sad. ;-)

Cause people always want to be 'the guy' that put it on the BA. So when it taps out in 30secs its all due to 'that guy's' effort.

I'm all about the beer karma, but sometimes you gotta wait till youre at the bar with glass in hand. Then you do the "OMG! BCBS on tap @ [insert bar name here]" post. Sometimes it's okay to keep little secrets in the beer world.

Based on the fact that one place I posted about Saturday still had it 3 days after tapping, you guys may be overestimating (by a wide margin) the number of BA's willing to trek out to the burbs for BCBS.

I hit a KBS tapping in the burbs and the keg kicked in 20mins. Pretty much any place around that gets something halfway decent doesn't last the night. It's just nice when you don't have to make finding limited brews a full time job because you have about a 30min window to get wherever its at or you're SOL.

We had some KBS 5 gallon kegs in San Diego - announced for a week. Thing lasted over 5 hours. SD is all hopheads I guess. Hope it stays that way. People can wait in line for a 10oz pour of the vastly overhyped PtY that lasts 18 minutes while I enjoy endless KBS pours =)

I believe it, even though KBS can't hold a candle to BCBS (IMHO). I might have considered a trip myself, were it not for the knowledge that a whole bunch of BCBS just got delivered to several Chicagoland bars. So hopefully most folks will be wise enough to wait until a closer bar decides to tap their keg.

Some people in these forums criticize BAers for picking up a case of rare beer and leave little for anyone else, then go and complain if someone posts info on where it's being tapped for everyone to enjoy. Makes me laugh

I try to share good taps on BA when I can, and if I get 1 glass out of it I am supremely happy. Hope the complainers get a glass or two and cheer up

Where was this tapped and any chance it will be again soon? I'd kill to try it

Yeah its really not crap.... Why else would anyone post the info? To spite people like you? I don't know anyone realistically that is about to drive from the city to Mokena for some BCBS. I assume the poster gave out the info to benefit the people on that area.

Is the unlabeled really 04? I've heard the only unlabeled vintage was 03.

Tribes posted this on Facebook at about noon on Monday for a Wednesday tapping. That plus their Twitter post and I I don't get the big deal with someone putting it on BA. Commence disagreement.

They tap a keg of Black Note before the bottles were released, announce it on twitter and FB. I walk in at 4 pm, get a seat at the bar, order a burger and get two pours before I leave. Maybe 30-35 people there at 4pm. The keg lasts until the next day.

Same thing for KBS except that someone announces it on BA. I show up at 3:45 and can't get in the door. Keg kicks in 30 minutes.

I won't be able to get there until 5:15 tomorrow, it will probably be gone by then. Thanks

Was not tapped, will never be tapped. They only did one barrel of it, and besides the one keg at an event, the rest were nip bottles tucked away at the brewery. I tried it during a tour of the barrel houses.

Boo freaking hoo. How many glasses do you need? Do you want a gold star for being "truly in the know"?
