Beers you regret passing on

Not buying more than one FW 2013 double DBA this summer due to price. One of the best beers I've had.

 

A Deal with the Devil while they had it at Churchkey.

 

Jack Abby's Baby Maker- It was marked down, looked at it for a second and moved on, when i got home realized but missed my chance.

 

When my local brewery had a keg of their 10 year old barleywine on tap! Should of at least ordered a sample!

 

Bourbon County Rare sat in my shop for a year.

Walked past a wide array of Cantillon before the madness began. 8 bottles of Lou Pepe

 

How about almost passes. I almost passed up a 4 pack of black note this year for 32$. I hadn't had the beer before so that price seemed quite steep. Ill pay 40$ next year for a 4 pack without batting an eye.

I've had it since, but a while back I was at Pizza Stone, in Chester VT, and skipped on Hill Farmstead Edward on draught. I had just got into craft beer.

 

Bourbon....County....Vanilla....

So young....so naive...

 

once saw Grapefruit Sculpin in NY and only bought one six pack, should've taken a case at least

 

Having just gone to the brewery this evening, I was under the impression that the barrel aged variants were only available there. But yeah, standard is everywhere around MA. Reasonably priced too!

 

Victory at Sea. I know I'll find it again some day though. Parabola, maybe not, but $25 was just too much to spend.

 

GI Rare

 

In my very early stages of craft drinking, I was at a bar who had approximately 200 cans of Heady Topper for sale for the night. Naturally, being a fan of only wits and stouts at the time, I passed on the opportunity. I'm kicking myself in the ass now.

 

When I wasn't first starting to seek out better beers, I drove out of my way for a solo bottle of KBS. The store manager encouraged me to also buy a bottle of King Henry, but the price (at the time) seemed like a lot. Sigh.

Yeah it was at Beerhive. They had it as of 9/6/14 which is when we were there. Excellent beer list. Had a parabola '14 while there along with a laundry list of Sours.

 

Deschutes The Abyss.

Was three years ago and I had no idea what it was (had just gotten into craft beer). The image of seeing the bottle up close (and then not buying it) is seared into my brain.

 

Rare on the shelf; Izzy at a restaurant.

 

I just snagged one for $24!
